    Hi,
I'm having trouble getting my head around an agreement we had with Blackhorse. I have posted the details below. I cannot get a copy of the actual settlement figure and how this was broken down, just the statement. I realise that the opening balance is the loan amount plus ppi amount (not inc interest).
What I need to know is how much to ask for through the court?
Do I include the interest added by Blackhorse (£606.63) as this doesn't appear on the opening balance and doesn't seem to be reflected in the final repayment.
Also how do I work out the 8% interest for the court?
Can I use the calculator on this website and enter it as if I'd paid 48 payments over 48 months?

I hope someone can help me with this as I am on the verge of giving up, it's all getting too confusing.

    Thanx

Can anyone please help ? Just been turned down by HSBC after 8wks waiting. They sent a copy of my signed agreement and highlighted a bit basically saying the loan was done by Customer Telephone Services and was not from advice from HSBC. I cannot believe it, they are not saying the PPI was mis-sold but that it was nothing to do with them ! When I rang the HSBC number to arrange the loan I fully believed it was an HSBC member of staff that I was talking to. They even had the cheek to tell me to write to the FOS ( and enclosed an FOS leaflet ) if I was not happy. Please help.

Sorry, forgot to add that they also said I had 30 days in which to cancel the PPI, but I did not think I had any choice.

 .......so in the end i decided to send a letter to firstplus asking them to reconsider their offer to include interest (I even worked it out for them!).
Their prompt reply was basically ' sod off, the final offer is final!'
Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained & hubby still giving me a hard time for holding out!
Trouble is, i'm getting more & more angry with firstplus!
The 22% being held back for 'provision of claims & administration costs' is a mystery to me! They had already charged me £150 administration fee on settlement of my loan.......& what on earth are provision of claims ??! I didn't make any claims on the policy? Maybe i'm just being dim & someone (expert)can explain this to me. Have given in to my 'no phone calls, everything in writing' rule & phoned firstplus this morning!
Surprise, surprise, I had to leave a message as no one was available to take my call. I had to bite my lip & refrain from saying 'I realise how busy your complaints department must be'!:rotfl:
God! i wish someone could have their day in court with them;) but i know it won't be me as i am slowly losing the will to live!
i know thw feeling and im sure they will tell me to sod off as well theres so many dealing with this company you would think something would be done i have a phone number for the complaints exec who is dealing with my case ive rang twice and get through straight away have you not got a direct number if i havent heard anything by friday i will be ringing again!!!
    good luck

    Hi,

Dont know if I am right thread or not....

I took out a loan with Picture two years ago, then late last year they called offering us a top up and at the time it was needed. Thing is, our PPI was £9,000 and we recieved nothing after we got a top up. They paid off the first one to make a new one and now the PPI is £12,000........Crazy I know, to be honest, didnt notice it until we were sorting through all our paperwork.

Can we claim back on the PPI on the first loan?? Has anyone had any success with them or Welcome loans..?????

Any help would be really appreciated, thx, and GOOD LUCK to those in the process!!!!

    Hugs,

    Cuddles xx

Hi there, you may have a bit of a problem here as it's always the company or financial adviser who sold you the policy who you go after for mis selling (it's exactly the same with endowment miss selling), so it doesn't matter who administers the policy now - unless of course they bought Creditlink out. What you need to do is find out what is meant by ceased trading - is that gone bust or has been taken over.

They have indeed ceased trading now does that mean my claim is now nil and void :(

  • Hi

Wondering if anyone can help me on a few things with PPI reclaiming , i sent my letter to freedom finance using Martin's template and received a response today saying my policy is still active and if i cancel before 16th April 08 can get back £600 from GE money plus freedom are willing to offer me 50% of the premium less the reabate being £1200 . I am confused cos i paid off this loan early after remortgaging 2 years ago and i presumed when it was paid off the PPI was closed . I never wanted the premium in the first place and had all the cover myself but would not let me have it without .Their reply was basically sorry should of explained PPI more , should of looked at your existing cover more in depth but we will pay compensation because of this etc etc

I dont know if i should cancel now and get my £600 back and accept the £1200 from freedom or if i should decline and write to them asking for full amount being £3000 + interest . Or if i cancel and get the £600 then decline their offer ...does it stop me going to the ombudsman for the rest .....confused ...help
