    Must be why cashback deals have suddenly got a lot worse. Making way for all those tempting deals on their next own-version network. Used to be O2, then it was Vodafone - now Three.

    Article mistake: under "sim only", it moans about the limited choice of handsets.

    " 'DataOnly' plan: These plans do what they say on the tin and only offer data. They cost from £5/month to £20/month. "

    Doesn't the tin interfere with the radio signal?

    This isn't their first network. They launched Fresh Mobile which later rebranded as TalkMobile. It's now owned by Vodafone but was still run off Carphone Warehouse billing systems until this year.

    Like many on here, I am currently using the obsolete One Plan from Three. If/When I receive their letter informing me that I have to change plans, I am considering moving to the Carphone Warehouse ID plan at £20 for 2000 mins and unlimited data.

    However, the subject of tethering seems a bit vague. Their on-line chat representative suggests tethering is allowed up to your allowance, but checking their terms and conditions leaves me wondering what they consider excessive? I often tether, but use less than 4GB per month. See below:

    5.3.4 tethering (unless explicitly stated in your Agreement with us), downloading, sending or uploading content of an excessive size, quantity or frequency. We will contact you if your use is excessive;

    I know it's only just been launched, but has anyone information as to what excessive might be?
  • Thanks for flagging that billbennett, I have now deleted the mention of handsets under the Sim-only section.

    None of these are very interesting. I still haven't managed to finish my first £10 PAYG topup from Three which I purchased in July 2014, despite leaving my data connection always on (when I'm out of the house).

    This came with 5000 free Three minutes, 250 free texts and 150MB free data as well as the £10 topup.

    As they run on three, the tethering is likely to be similar to threes new plans with tethering up to 4gb but unlimited data use on the phone itself
