I'm with IDmobile been with them just over a 1mth now and everything is working fine No different from my old 3 signal which i left to go with ID.
Took about 4 days for my number to pac over because of the weekend and a bit of my own fault when filling out the website form i put the wrong date to start
a quick phone call to them and the person i spoke to said hang on a minute went away for a couple of mins then came back and said its all sorted now it will go though fine and it did.
So not all doom and gloom from ID and they have taken the right money from my account so farNobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
How did 12 year olds pass a credit check?I ordered two sim only cards from idmobile. One for each of my sons. The cards / accounts were in their names but the direct debit was in my name. We only received one of the SIMs. I called to enquire.
The telephone customer service is pathetic. One holds on for ages and then gets through to Carphone Warehouse who then have to connect you to idmobile so you wait ages again (the telehone number on the invoice with the SIM is a CPW number as it turns out is the telehonie number for customer services on the ID Mobile web-site!. The idmobile customer service turns out to be in South Africa and the quality of the line was terrible.
I was constantly informed that due to data protection rules they could not clarify any information with me as the accounts were in the names of my sons. My sons are both aged 12! I asked to cancel the accounts. This was not possible so I asked to cancel the direct debit. The idmobile representative had no understanding of the UK direct debit system and could not tell me if the direct debit had been set up or not. All in all I spent an hour on the phone dealing with imbeciles and then got cut-off.
I have checked with my bank and the direct debit does not appear to have been set up. So hopefully I am not going to be charged anything.
We are sticking with GiffGaff as I cannot face dealing with the morons at Carphone Warehouse or ID Mobile ever again. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Its your own thought for setting up a contract for children under 16-18yrs
Children are not suppose to have contract so how is it ID's thought?
ID are right it is data protection.
If someone tried to get into your mobile phone account you would be going up the wall about it.
May be you has a parent have learn a lesson that children shouldn't have contracts to they get to the right age.
To many parents come on here and complain how they have got huge bills that's been run up by a child its not there child's thought it's the parents for giving the contract in the first place.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
Hi All
Do not go near ID mobile
Long story short I got an iphone for my 14 year old daughter in ocotber, she went over her usage the first month (typically teen) and I got a bill for £85, anyway I didn't know about the different shockproof deals, so they said they would put a £5 cap on for me, that didn't happen, they said that this cant happen after 28 calls later with promises of calls to me but nothing they said that whoever agreed this was wrong and "the recorded call" couldn't be heard proper, I wrote a deadlock letter with no answers given to me and now since 28th Nov there is a weekly charge on the account for £4.50 and the phone bill says its a charge to my own number!!
They told me to ring a company called phone pay plus, who said that they were getting loads of customer saying that they were having calls from ID mobile customer s stating that they were getting charges from phone pay plus when its nothing to do with them, so £85 extra usages and now £46.50 weekly charge son the bill.
I am not paying this bill, id rather go to court!!
I have logged an official complaint to the ombudsman today id love to hand the phone back and cancel the whole thing if I could!!0 -

Another parent learning a lesson Not to give children contract phones and then moaning about it after big bills.
Whether ID are right or wrong you shouldn't have giving a child a contract phone.
Its like giving a child a bar of chocolate and telling them not to eat it.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
I'm SIM only but their iPhone 6S contracts are tempting me, however i'm not sure I want to tie myself into a two year contract. I'll have a look around!0

Hi guys,
The Carphone Warehouse ID sim only deal sounds good but the "use it overseas as you would at home"part of the offering isn't quite as good as I hoped it would be.
Like my current deal with 3 it allows you to use your monthly allocation of minutes/texts.data in umpteen overseas countries BUT, and this isn't highlighted anywhere obvious, you can only use this facility for a maximum of 90 days per annum. I'd already signed up with 3 before finding a minute reference to this 90 day maximum on the website - even though I did explain on about three separate occasions to staff instore that I would be travelling overseas for about 5 months of the year. The shop staff failed to mention the restriction at any time.
The 3 shop staff also failed to explain to that, at the time that I signed up, their "Feel at Home" service wasn't available in Spain and the Canary Islands even though I had just told them that in about 4 weeks time I was going to the Canaries for 4 weeks holiday.
When I contacted 3 to complain about these "failures to inform" they credited me with a month's payment.
When I first heard about the Carphone Warehouse ID sim I contacted them to inquire if they were imposing the same 90 day limit - and unfortunately they replied that they too had to apply the limit so I see no reason to switch to id from 3 for the time being.0 -
I am trying to sign up for a sim only ID deal as per MSE Email ,but it wont accept my debit card details , nor CC details , anyone else having this problem ?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

What a shame , will have to add my voice to those saying AVOID
Though the website wouldnt process the order ,they still managed to debit my card 5 times! , and when you speak to the over seas call centre the only thing they can say is why dont your try again , or go into a car phone warehouse to complete your purchase
They say `not to worry` that their website captures card details and to call again in 48 hours
Not a good experienceNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
Bad experience with a sim only, their cheapest at £4/month. But not working from home ( which is in an urban area ), no calls, text, no data usage, from day 1. Contacted several time over length of contract, little bit over 1 month, no call back as promised with a solution to problem. Finally today, I was asked to set my phone to work on their 3G network rather than the 4G. Lost patience and stopped contract +claimed my money back. Hopefully they will keep their promise of refund.0
