Just wonder what do you think the best cards to be linked with this Travelex Supercard ?? This is just my rules :

    1. It has got to be debitcards as you will not be able to withdraw cash in a foreign countries if you link it with creditcards

See post #181. The HotUKDeals post it's referring to is here

I got mine yesterday and am trying to decide which cards to link.

My card arrived yesterday and I linked a credit and a debit card. Oddly a Barclaycard wouldn't work.

In the app you simply select which card you want as your primary one. The change happens instantly.

I used the supercard linked to a credit card to order goods from Amaon.de the order has gone through and the transaction is showing on the supercard.

I also used another german online store but that isn't showing up in the transactions list as yet.

The app server knowns the load/exchange rate of the cards you've linked and tells you how much you've saved. For instance I spend around €80 and saved £3.

IMO the Supercard beats all prepaid cards for online shopping due to being able to switch linked cards, and not have to charge it with cash.

I've just successfully added a Visa Debit and a Barclaycard Visa and Barclaycard Mastercard.

I need to purchase Turkish visas on-line and they are charged in US Dollars, so hopefully I can use the card to test it out.

Are you sure about this. I emailed Travelex and was informed that cash withdrawls linked to a credit card would count as regular spending.

As Visa gives a worse rate than Mastercard, does it not make sense to link the Supercard to a credit card that gives cashback on spending in order to negate the Visa/Mastercard differential? The Supercard can then be used to make cash withdrawls abroad. This would then be as good as using a Halifax Clarity (due to the cashback) but without the hassle of always having to transfer money into the account to avoid/minimise interest charges.

    [FONT=&quot]Hi

I'm looking forward to receiving me card.

Please can you clarify the following:

If I link my new Supercard to a UK credit card and use the Supercard to withdraw cash at an ATM abroad, will the cash withdrawl be treated by my UK credit card as a regular purchase (i.e. I will not be libale for any interest) or a cash withdrawl (i.e. my UK credit card will charge me interest).

    Many thanks.

Wonder if it works for UK cash withdrawals? If you've got a card which gives cashback, withdraw the maximum you can and use it to pay off the card, and you profit by the cashback plus perhaps a little interest if you put it in an interest paying account till the payment date :)

Thanks but your link to post #181 leads to here.

I just get registration failed when using the app - no info as to why or who I should call."

Which is not relevant to the question. Would you please recheck the post#. Thx

You misread my reply. I was referring to post #181 on MSE not HotUKDeals. I linked to the relevant post on HotUKDeals as I said in the post.
