  • Morning everyone - mia again yesterday as we were braving the gales at the car boot! Made a tidy sum and the vast majority of the rest is waiting to be donated.

DH is in the back garden, weeding and I am about to go into the front!

Takingcontrol welcome - in answer to your question - no you do not have to do all three levels - just do what you can. Each room comes round again the next week and little by little depending on the time you have available you will get it done to your liking.

I have started the Kon-Marie journey too and Mrs MP coined a new word for us - but can't remember if it was flyKon or flydo!!
My house is starting to come together really quickly now by blending the two threads, though I post only on this one. I can't wait to get the book from the library but I am still at number 11! It sound very strange but I feel happier!!! even though I am just at the beginning.

Better get on and hugs to those needing them - will catch up again tomorrow.

Hope your arm gets better soon Pigpen.

    Morning all xx

The elbow is a little less sore today.. but still painful and lifting things.. like the sugar tub and small people is a bit awkward.

Pixie just flung herself down a few stairs.. silly girl insists on trotting up and down the stairs and is so daft on them she falls all the time! It's not possible to follow her around 24/7 but she has bumped her noggin now :( Silly girl.

    Cuppa made.

I hand sewed the curtain for the front door last night.. which meant emptying the under stair cupboard entirely, I may as well have got the sewing machine out if I am honest but never mind!!

I finished off a 400g ball of wool and got another part used one out.. I'm making a little cardy thing for DD2.. it's very cute.. just the bottom halves of the 2 fronts to do and the loooooooong frilly edging. Hoping to finish it this week and start on the next project or 5. :)

Today is a bit of a catchup day. A bit done in each room to keep on top of things. Chilli made for tomorrow. Clean washing put away. Off to see some friends this afternoon.

  • Hi folks,

Back from mums, and the house is just as I left it, ie a mess.
Skim read the thread, hugs for boddy, and takingcontrol I really sympathise, I hate my house. We are renovating, have been for ages. It's like a building site, and the trouble is even when I spend ages tidying and cleaning, it still looks awful. Anyway, eventually, as I keep telling myself, it will be lovely. We just took on way too much.

Right. Onwards and upwards. Small list for me just to get it less tip-like before the working week starts.

    Make food for family
    Clean work tops
    Kitchen floor
    Wm
    Dw
    Change our bed
    Swish sink and bog
Walk dog while OH puts children to bed.

    Good.

Welcome Takingcontrol and don't try to do everything.

Our weekend project, the garden shed is now so immaculate that I almost want to post a photo but I'm not that sad............if this year's policy is to declutter 1 item each day, I reckon I'm ok till Xmas. Lots for recycling bin, some on Freecycle and Mr N has done a cracking job of putting up shelves, tool racks etc so we can actually get in the shed and look for things without having to climb over the lawnmower, knock a few things over and tread on something. In fact "look for things?" on your bike; everything has a home.

Continued by doing a bit of a tidy in the greenhouse which is opposite the shed. It's at its fullest, just want that pesky wind to die down so a few more seedlings can go outside.

Still have lots left on the "garden" list but really chuffed so far.

This eve I have to get ready for an assessment tomorrow, Mr N has to do a bank spreadsheet for his mum and those are the main things really. I finished my short course so I need to do a questionnaire at some stage.

Haven't seen Ionafan, I think she was away for a couple of days, so I'll remember to re-post the newt photos on the new thread as I know she was interested.

Well done. I can't remember which course you are doing this time, but must be nearing the end soon?
