Good luck with the interview Charlieyates! Deep breaths before you go in and think about each question they ask you. Try and think of some answers to questions (e.g. 'Why would you be a valuable addition to our team?' 'Give us an example of when you worked well in a team', 'Why do you want the job?' etc) so you're prepped in case they ask you those sort of questions. :jEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Hey charlieyates good for you - I do a bit of interviewing in my job so if you want any tips, do shout. If you let us know what sort of a job it is for, we might be able to suggest some more q's they might ask so you feel prepared - best advice someone once gave me was to remember it's a two-way street and you are interviewing them as well, to make sure they have the right job for you xx
Well I think that might have been my last appointment at the hosp - phew. He didn't actually say as much but ended the conversation with "call my secretary if you need me for anything else". Other than that I think we are all fully healed and sorted. We went straight from DD ballet class and didn't have time to change so she was causing a bit of a stir in her tutu
Kitchen is tidy but I'm fighting a losing battle with toys
I've made a start prepping the spare room for decorating in a weeks time - nursery wall stickers have gone (aww), tonight I'm going to empty the bookcase and unfasten it from the wall, remove and hooks n stuff, and put my bag of clothes in the loft. Then i need to put the travel cot up for our overnight visitor tomorrow (baby sleepover )
I really need to do my nails too.
Flying? What's that??? (:o)
Dusty am I doing the lists again next week? XBossymoo

Starting to get fed up with being so tired. Two weeks now since I started with this flu bug so hopefully I will start to pick up. I know the sensible thing to do is try and rest a bit.
And talking of tired blimey EM I am exhausted looking at that list. Dont overdo it.
Good luck Cy. I was the same when I got my current job, hadnt had an interview for years. Try to be yourself and be honest, and do prepare for some standard questions as bargainhunters suggest.
Going to update my finance spreadsheets, its niggling me a bit that I havent done them. Then walk the dog before its time to feed everyone.0 -
Boddy, have I missed a post about Ozzy?I wore gloves on the school run this afternoon! It's May, FGS!
I've got the leather gloves back out for early and late dog walks and we haven't switched some of the radiators off, either. Normally by the time OH jets off I'm taking the secondary glazing down and cursing him for not doing it before he went. No chance this year! It's bizarre really, because we've just had the hottest April on record.charlieyates wrote: »I've had a phone call... I have an interview on Wednesday! I've never had an interview before, as I had done work experience at my old work I started straight away, I'm feeling really sick and scared. I haven't worked in 11 years so have no references or anything.
Good luck with the interview. Don't forget for a second that the interview panel is praying for just the right person to walk through the door, so that they can offer them the job. As Bossy says, it's a two way process and interviewees often don't seem to realise that because they're so nervous.
I left the dog alone in the house on his own for the first time for about an hour and he didn't destroy anything, so I'm really, really happy with him and he's finally eaten the food he should eat without anything extra to make it palatable. I think we may be 'there' with him. Very happy.
I took two parcels in for the new permanent neighbours (opposite) this morning and then found, after going out, that I'd missed the ParcelForce man with my new-to-me stick reconditioned dy$0n. *Hmf*
I'm feeling very, very sad about the news about Olive Cooke today. I realised yesterday that there was more to her death than old age and I'm asbolutely horrified if what I'm reading in the papers is true. The charities that plagued her should hang their heads in shame.
WMx1, our bed changed, finally, and floor sucked. That's it for another week.Better is good enough.0 -

I'm having a rotten day today, so I'm going to slink off and not bother anyone for a while. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I am sure we should be able to fly and kondo simultaneously as we are women and able to multi-task!!
Narco have you looked round St Andrews in Fife as I don't remember many midges in that area when we used to go regularly - or are you wanting mountains / west coast?
Sorry didn't mean to start something - just assumed I'd got it wrong. Anyway, throwing away or folding, who cares if the end result is tidy!
We're aiming for Argyll/Islands area, preferably right on the coast as I love sea. At the moment we're torn between a place that is yards from a loch front (would prefer sea for some reason) but pretty isolated, and finding somewhere a bit less rural. It is a motor bike trip, so although shopping is not one of my hobbies, we do have to consider how far we may have to go for food supplies or pub/cafe trips. It's a pain to be out all day on the bike, come home and shower then put the gear on again to go out and eat, although we will be mainly self-catering. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Love that term. Mr N did look at me a bit odd when I announced I was going to origami my knicker drawer............Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Good luck with the interview CY. I've received notification of the tender I put in that announcement of the short-list for interviews will be next Tuesday.
In the meantime I've had an enquiry from someone I assessed last year asking for tuition, so I've just written a course plan/quote.
Washed up and bit of kitchen tidy.
Been to Body Attack.
Remembered to post letters including one that needed a stamp to Canada.
Caught up with emails.
Had quick look at next bit of my course, but it is sunny now so I'm going to go and see how many weeds have grown with yesterday's rain.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
