  • Hi all,
I'm also frozen tonight, sitting here with blanket :( Had a bad day re flying today, nothing really done, can't face it. Just been to (paid) work. Now got sore throat and headache, and house is already a tip. It is so demoralising. Children doing "experiment" spilled paint on and in my newly kondoed bedding box. Green paint all over bedding. Arghhhhh.
Well done to everyone who has achieved stuff today. Hugs to all xxx

I got a little distracted today and ended up sorting the utility room out. The sides have been cleared and cleaned. All clutter gone and he floors have been swept and mopped. Also did the hall floor, and washed the front door!
I did an hour of ironing so the basket is looking less full but still more to do! Everywhere is looking quite respectable apart from my bedroom which I have resigned myself to leaving it a mess while we are packing as it's more of a sorting room at the mo!

Two more massive boxes packed and tin the study! Still got so much to do! It's never ending!

Decluttered a three mile run tonight. I had to run to an event so didn't have much time, so ran there quickly to make the most of the time I had available! It didn't compensate my massive roast dinner that I had afterwards though! Naughty!

    Back at it today managed

    Hoover living room
clean patio door inside and out
    Dust living room
    wipe down lap top
    1 x clothes wash
    wash dinner plates and cups
clear living room floor and sofa

I work from home 28 hours a week and its quite depressing when you let the house go to pots and can't get away from it. Hubby work 12 hour night shifts 4 x days a week. Hope he's pleased when he comes home in the morning as living room is now looking and smelling good :p Still have shelf to declutter but rest is looking good.

Basically a fly lady would say she was decluttering someone on the Marie kondo thread would say they had kondoed the items

Ah, trust me to get it wrong. If I say I've kondoed something, I mean I've folded it up a la Kondo....................slinks away.....

Keep checking my monitor and so far today we are using the equivalent of £2.36 per week. We had the heating on earlier, plus WM has been on, DS played on the wii for a while so normal kind of usage. That's combined gas and electricity so I'll be happy if it stays at that lol. Not likely:)

Sounds good. We were looking forward to reviewing our fuel bills after the first full year of solar panels, but sadly Mr N's illness has meant we've used loads more than usual as he's been home and cold, and watching TV a lot. He still feels the cold a great deal, can't seem to get him much over 9st yet. Still he's in his 2nd week back of full time at work, albeit 4-day weeks what with bank holiday and then he had yesterday off.

Been busy here and there but yesterday we washed and painted the garage door. House reasonably under control. Spending a lot of time seeking the 'perfect' Scottish holiday cottage for us in July (eek midges). Quite a bit of work on the go, got 2 assessments booked over the next 2 weeks plus an enquiry which may result in some consultancy tuition. Rained like mad today so I am expecting my veg garden to look fantastic tomorrow - and knee deep in weeds.

It's me who should be sorry, if you've folded it marie kondo style then you HAVE been kondoing:o
I only offered one explanation. I did mention in my post that folding and storing was also part of her plan but forgot to add that in the brief at the bottom.
I also say I've kondoed a drawer if I've folded the Tshirts etc 'her' way. I samosaed all my carrier bags and that's just another way of saying they've been kondoed;)
Sorry Narco, I was only trying to be helpful when I offered my explanation and didn't do it well enough as I missed the half the info.
    Thank you for adding it:)

    Morning all
    Hope everyone is well
    Weather looks better today
First job as soon as shop opens is a bread run, we went last night but forgot to get the bread we went for! I need to get the boys packed for school/work so should have remembered
The dress I bought looks and fits well it was only £2 at the boot I'd got a pink skirt but it's really pale and doesn't last a shift in the dining hall with the childcare I usually come home with a few smears where someone's tugged on me so I'll go and cut something up. At least this is a shade darker so I'll hopefully look clean the whole day;)
Need to do a walk by miles and make sure her garden bin got put out as I want to fill that again tomorrow.
Sorted out some more card making stuff to pass on to friend over the road.

Shops open so I can make a move now, have a good day all.
    SPC~12 ot 124

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind

I can relate to this, I worked from home for a time and the mess does get to you because its just there, all the time. I dont know about you but my family thought that because I was working from home it wasnt "proper" work so they expected me to do housework as well!

I am struggling to get over this flu bug but have done what I can this week. I have cleaned most of the windows which does make a difference.

Our bedroom is messy and unloved at the moment. It needs decorating but this wont get done until later in the year, and this is no excuse to let it get into a tip. I am aiming to have a good declutter and spring clean in there tomorrow. I have had one attempt at kondo-ing my wardrobe but I need to fling some more clothes and shoes.

Right, best get ready for the paid stuff. Roll on the weekend!
