    Good morning :D
Not much flying going on here :( but I have been working long days!

All this talk of marrying your posties has got me worried, as my DH is a postie!! It is amazing how many people answer the door to a postman wearing undies or towels!! I would never put my poor postie through that ordeal!

The boys are just watching a bit of MrTumble and then we are heading out to the shop - need toilet rolls as we are down to our last one. My little 2 yr old loves shops at the moment, so it's all good experience for him :)

I did ask last week, but I am going to ask again as I still don't know - what is 'kondo'?

Sorry GI I hadn't noticed you'd asked before
There's a thread on here regarding the book by Marie kondo she advocates only keeping the possessions that bring you joy. There are also ways of storing and folding the things you keep. Quite a few of us are using both threads do the 'language' is merging across.
A kondo is referring to an item you've got rid of, ie I kondoed my wardrobe and lots went to the charity shop or clothes bank.
    HTH

Basically a fly lady would say she was decluttering someone on the Marie kondo thread would say they had kondoed the items

when I used to collect money on the stepdads window cleaning it was the same then.. people in towels and pjs and even just in their undies.. its just unnecessary.. I answer the door in my dressing gown.. floor length with a hood!!

Hi Guys my place is a real mess so I'm back to try and get on top of it.
This week so far I have
    Put on several clothes washes
scrapped paint peeling of half the tiles in the bathroom rest to finish
    cleaned bath
    swiped kitchen floor
    Cleared Kitchen table
Wiped down kitchen work tops and front of cupboards
    Washed pots.
I suffer from depression so this is more than I've done in a while and I know its not a lot. My husband likes a clean house and will do cleaning himself his mother in law no longer with us was OCD so he can't really deal with the mess and I can't stand dirt so its time to get back ontop of things.
Hope following this thread and posting what I do each day will help something needs doing as we are desperate to put the house on the market.

Thanks mrs MP I guessed it was something like that, but wondered about the origins. I may check out that thread - sounds very useful!

I have been to @ldi - didn't get much because my trolley was full of children! Just the necessities - oh and a hanging basket! It is WI night tonight and we are doing hanging baskets, so I guess I had better take one with me! It was only £2.49, including the liner :)

Hope everyone is doing well this morning. Gone really dark and cloudy here. So since my post this morning I have done 2 full bowls of pots and another soaking. Hung out as much washing as I can, I need more pegs and a bigger line. Stripped my bed and 2 loads in washer and dried all the underware (think we might need a new dryer the noises it was making!). Swept all the way through downstairs as the dogs are moulting like mad.

Applied for a few jobs. A big thing for me, I haven't even been out of the house to do the school run for a couple of months while dh has been home so job hunting is pretty scary. Next step to book a doctors app...

Thank you for all the messages re dh. I will pop a link on if anyone wants a nosy and any comments on changing it would be great. But please don't feel like you have to like the page as it is very much something local and I wouldn't want your newsfeeds to get filled with something that isn't much use to you. You will also be able to see why I didn't agree with him doing this at all and I refused to help him for a while! The new products (party supplies) I can help him with as that's not so bad. He is thinking about taking it that way and will have to think of a new name before the website renewal is due.
    https://www.facebook.com/pages/Yates-Inflatable-hire-and-Party-supplies/1400712783482818 I think that's it.

Going to update the list with what I have done and remove anything I know I wont have time for this week-Will do it in a bit as just realise ive removed it from paste when I did the link oops.

    Welcome back Charlie! Liked.

Healing vibes for Ozzy, Boddy. I hope he comes home today to his lovely clean bedding and toys.

Welcome SlimBrunett! Little and often does the trick.

    Missing Dusty's posts - I feel kondo'd!

Linky for you Lamewolf. I sound like a madwoman.

It was heaving down earlier so we got thoroughly soaked on our first walk but the weather's now pretty reasonable. I may do a WM load which would clear the backlog, and I've got a room to get ready for the occasional lodger and the shower room could do with a scrub. That'll be it for today, I think.
    Better is good enough.
  • Someone has posted on another thread that Amazon have got the dinosaur that pooped a planet, and the singing mermaid box sets (book and cuddly toy) for £2 each, I've just ordered them for DD2s partners children for Christmas, might help someone else with littlies to buy for.
Mine are going away for Christmas. They are on free super saver delivery

Ha! Mrs MP, I read that to mean that you were sending DDS2s partner's kids away! Free super saver delivery too! Bargain :rotfl:
