Paid deposit on a car and just noticed they sold it at the wrong price

    ITYM it shows that there are honest and reputable traders who will give goodwill gestures way in advance of their statutory duties.

    This was not a goodwill gesture it was a dealer realising he made a mathematical mistake.

    So the car was advertised at £9495 and the dealer agreed to knock £3000 off leaving a balance of £7100 to pay? Er.... OK.

    Why would the dealer not keep to his original quote of £3000 for the trade in? I'd imagine the balance was then £6495
