    Mortgage-free Glee!
I slagged M2YD when they took over 2 months to pay claim no1, but claim no2 has taken less than 2 weeks to be paid.

Sent form in on april15th and rec'd chq today.

Well impressed...hope they can keep it up!

but do you get it in writing? I was going to send it in like you do, 2nd class, non recorded but i was worried as if its not recorded or SD and they tell you they have received it on the phone but deny it later when the claim window had finished? what do you reckon?

Vodafone are an absolute nightmare with regard to splitting bills. Their so-called customer service is a farce and they are utterly incompetent.

Tell me about it! I've been receiving bills on my £40/month tariff that have rounding errors so they arrive at £39.99. Before I made my first cashback claim I was worried that it would be invalidated by this error. Luckily the folks at M2YD approved it.

Prior to my first claim I was on to Vodafone four times and each time I was told that the problem was sorted and that my next bill would appear with the total at £40. I've just received my latest bill and yep you've guessed it - still at £39.99  !

They are terrible. They have turned me into an extremely hostile customer when I had become their biggest advocate. I wouldn't worry about the 1p - you're on the right tariff and it shouldn't affect your claims. I was going to order more on Vodafone but won't now purely because of their custmer "service".

Got my 2nd claim cheque in a week.

I am surprised some people are still sending by recorded delivery. You may as well send by normal post and get a certificate of posting. If you want peace of mind use special delivery with consequential loss.

Recorded post is a waste of money, it is not seperated from normal post and when there are hundreds of letters to be delivered the postmen/women do not always bother getting things signed.

That's fine if you have a back-up plan. However, if they say they don't have it there is no proof they did and you're stuffed.

can I post it 2nd class and check if they have received it?
I was worried that they can only tell you they have received it and then later deny it, do you think that is worth the risk?

Best advice is to send rc then there's no problem whatever provided it tracks! After all, it's a small price to pay to sleep at night!

Do you really think a normal walking postperson delivers to these cashback addresses? I would expect a sack of mail every day delivered by van, of which there will be a lot of 'signed for' items.

I've sent both my claims by recorded and got printouts of signatures from RoyalMail's website.

I send my claims early (as soon as it's valid, in fact) by recorded. Then time is on my side if it doesn't get there to get the form again and re-send by special if need be.

By the way, if you think sending these by 2nd class and a signed for service, IMO you need your head examined! Recorded costs about 70p - it really should not break the bank if you're on one of these contracts where you're going to get a lot of money back in return!
The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster! :)

:rotfl: Do you really want to get into semantics ? The person who delivers the sack of mail in a van is still a postman or postwoman.

There was a thread about e2save where royalmail accepted that there was a problem with their delivery staff failing to get post sent by recorded signed etc.

From personal experience recorded delivery is a waste of time and money. Over the last few years I have had numerous things not delivered, sometimes they have been delivered but no one bothered to get anything signed. I have even had things delivered where the postman has not bothered to get a signature.
