Sorry but I'm feeling a bit off this evening and need some cheering up. I've just realised that I went over my points last night and I'm a bit. sadd0001.gif about it. I know that 1 or 2 points in one day won't make a huge difference, but I was also TERRIBLE on Monday night too, I've got a day at my brother's this saturday where I can control what I drink, but not what I'm eating (cos I don't know what he's making) and a kiddies birthday party on Friday (rice crispie buns are my favourite).

It's only just hit me that Saturday is the beginning of September and then we're on the long downhill trend (wedding anniversary, my birthday, DS's birthday and the banned word!) I'm swinging between desperation and impatience to get this weight off

.....you know how it is delly. Be good where you can, cut down the points by a few on the non-important days, skimp where you can on the semi-important days, and play like a good thing on the really important days. You'll be good, you want the result too much to ruin it. It will make more sense when the time is here, you'll plan it all out.

Have just seen your before and after photos Bindiboo. Wow -- what a difference 36lbs makes! You look great, and happy birthday for yesterday.

Suggs thank you for the slide show. It's just fantastic the way you keep on losing.

Bails you can have 2 hundred million zillion points -- asking for the books on freecycle is a very clever idea indeed. I'll do it today and let you know if I'm successful. Brighton Belle -- if I can't get the book on freecycle I'll go to the SW meeting. So you can have a hundred million zillion points too.

But I'm declaring Petrichor the winner becuase she was the first to reply. (Did I tell you speed was a factor too?) But now I realise I should have offered stickers not points.:o

So DB you stuck with the points on Tuesday, Thursday could be a good day and so could Sunday. And on Friday just think about where those little kiddy hands have been. Dear little kiddies have no scruples about touching food before you eat it ... you won't WANT a rice crispie bun.(just think threadworm eggs)

Then almost every day this week will have been OK.

    Evening all :hello:

Here we go with this week's chart, which is the last one for the August challenge, and there have been some fantastic weight losses - over 150 pounds this month - so well done everyone. :j

This week's Slimmer of the Week award goes to Hollyh - well done for losing 8lbs in one week!! :T

And congratulations to the winner of our first Slimmer of the Challenge award - drum roll please - which goes to Skint_Catt, who has lost 9.5lbs this month. :T

Well done Aussiesbird, Bindiboo, Brighton Belle, DellyBelly, Efrieze, Furrypig, Hollyh, Notanothergreyhair, Poohbear, Rustynash, Saversarn, Skint_Catt and Starlight for achieving (or overachieving) the monthly challenge.

New challenge starts from today, to lose 5lbs by Wednesday 3rd October, so good luck to everyone.

As usual, if I've missed anyone out or got anything wrong, please let me know.

Sorry to bore you but..... :)

    I have mini-targets in view:

    1. 1lb to get to 4 stone lost.
    2. 5lb to get to 60lb lost.
    3. 10lb to get to the lightest I've been in 20 years
    4. 14lb to get under 200 lbs.
    5. 15lb to get to a "numbers only" 5 stone+ lost *
    6. 17lb to get to a REAL 5 stone+ lost *

I like your list - it motivated me to do my own

    1. 1lb to 75 lbs lost
    2. 5lbs to 30% of body weight lost
    3. 10lbs to 6 stone
    4. 14.5lbs to BMI of 25 :j
    5. 37lbs to final target of wedding day weight (although actually I think it is less as I am almost sure my scales weigh me more than all other scales by about 5 lbs!).

I intend to achieve at least 1 and 2 during the September challenge (which may be difficult as it is a religous festival time which means lots of eating!!!!)

...grannynise how many points does one get for coming up with the suggestion of chatting up an ex-SW member on this forum, offering him more points than you gave Bails, pet and BB and sending him a SAE-jiffy with instructions on where to send said books (he's done with them, and will even rip his personal crap out of the back)?

Thanks Lois again for your continued work:T
