Will the remaining mixture keep if I need to wait til Sat? Or is it freezable too?

I've never tried Sake, might enjoy it at the bbq too :D can you drink it neat, or do you need to mix it?

Can't see why it wouldn't but may be just as easy to make it on the day - it's only a case of throwing 3 liquids into a small pan!
Actually only tried it with the real Sake the first time (many, many moons ago) and did end up drinking the rest in small wine glasses well chilled. Unfortunately don't recall liking it much as a drink and switched to the sherry soon after. Can't think what you would mix sake with - perhaps others could advise.
    Good luck

PS one diet recipe my kids like for chicken is to paint the chicken breast in BBQ sauce then coat with crushed cornflakes before baking. Yummmmm

not sure if i am really annoyed with myself or just a bit. was flushed with success at my 3 kgs loss last month and knew i had picked up a few of the bad habits that i thought i had managed to kick while in spain on hols. but no, monthly weigh in was last friday and was terrified at standing on scales at docs so you can imagine relief when she said i had gained 0.5 kgs. should have been a loss i know but had stomachprobs as the high doses of morphine i am on make me very constipated and was going through bad patch of that plus couple of binges so altogether i guess done lot better than i could have. however, did mange to do zip up on pair of shorts on sunday that i could not even close 2 weeks ago so anyhow onward and upward as they say 26 days and counting till next weigh in and i will do better ;)
  • I cant believe my 100lb mark is just around the corner... only 5 more lbs to go
:T :j Well done, that is a massive achievement, you must be so proud.
I can only please one person per day.
    Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Lost another 1lb last night. It's coming off soooo slowly, but I want to at least lose 1lb every week until Xmas!

5lb loss to report Lois. I guess a loss is a loss but I'm gutted really - missed the August challenge. Off to sulk and beat oneself about the head.

Come on guys, why the long faces, you are both doing incredibly well!!

Skinny Catt, it was not so long ago that you lost a massive 7lb in one week and you are still losing, how great is that! Slow, steady loss is the surest way to keep it off.

And Ajax, I thought I had misread your post and it was a 5lb gain you were so down.

Consider yourselves well and truly slapped round the face with a wet fish for being so hard on yourselves, you're both doing a fantastic job! xxx

ps must learn how to quote two people in a post!

...thanks skinny catt but 3lb of that was totally new lard put on last week so was a given to come off this week. Still only did 4lb in August overall. Sure it's 4lb gone but a challenge is only a challenge if there's an end result, and falling short of a challenge is another term for failure.

Ergo, sulking and beating is valid.

Ajax, it was me and not Skinny Catt. And I still say you are too hard on yourself boy! Don't forget that you have been suffering alone on here with all us females while Suggs is away, you must've needed to comfort eat to cope;)

Come on cheer up, it's not so bad - just put all that disappointment into making sure you meet the challenge this month.

We still love you even if you don't! xx:kisses3:

  • Good morning!!

Can't believe people are having the sulks about losing weight!!

Ajax, at least what you put on has disappeared with a few friends think how miserable you would have been if you had only lost 3lbs or less.

don't know if it would be any help to but has anyone used this website
    https://www.fitday.com

you have to register (it is free) but you can track your excercise and food and stuff...I found it a bit fiddly but some might find it useful.
