Anyhow! I am planning on losing at least a pound a week for the 5 week challenge! Even better would be 1.5 pounds per week! Wish me luck folks I am going to need it :rotfl:
Oh Dragon, really sorry to hear your first week didn't go so well. The good thing is that you know what happened ie that not eating isn't helpful for you and that's half the battle. Try to eat little and often, even if you don't feel like it. I know from experience that that's really hard to do but it will help.
Wishing you lots of luck this week, keep checking in for support xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Congratulations Starlight, you deserve it after your plateau. And enjoy your romantic night away! 100lb is such an impressive milestone, I hope you can get there soon and then we'll have a big online party, lol!!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Right all, I'm taking TC's advice (albeit belatedly) and am off to pamper myself in a lovely candlelit bath before (hopefully) getting a good night's sleep ready for day 1 tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning my plan is to work up an appetite for brekky by going for a walk and picking lots of lovely blackberries. I may even make some of the smoothie lollies suggested on here!
Take care xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Starlight, that is a truly fantastic goal to have (almost) reached. Well done!:j :T
Raphael - don't know if you like garlic but the following marinade makes a mean Chicken Yakitori-one of my all time fav's- which BBQs really well (or grills if the weather runs to form)-
1.25-1.5lb chicken cut into cubes
4fl.oz shoyu or light soy sauce
4fl.oz sake (or dry sherry works just as well - make sure it is dry though)
4 level tblesp dark soft brown sugar (or can go with granuated sweeteners if preferred - I actually like it without any sweetner/sugar in too)
3 crushed cloves garlic
1'' fresh root ginger, peeled and crushed or very finely chopped
Freshly ground black pepper
Mix 1/2 the shoyu, 1/2 the sake and 1/2 the sugar/sweetener with the garlic, ginger and pepper. Stir well till sugar dissolves. Use to marinade chicken for at least 4 hours, turning occasionally.
BBQ or grill to cook.
Whilst cooking, mix remaining shoyu, sake and sugar and simmer for a few minutes. Use to pour over at table.
(PS I have even made this and frozen the raw chicken in the marinade, then just needed to defrost on the day and cook)
well done all fellow 10K walkers. Today's total for me = 11214 so average sitting at 11056 over 7 days
Now, off to read all other posts
Bye folks

100lb!! That is amazing!
Weighed myself today and I'm 288.8lb, so another 1.2lb dropped.
I've been very naughty today, I had my eggs this morning, and was going to have cereal at work, but I had nothing planned for dinner.
My collegue had pizza delivered in work so gave me her microwave curry, then let me take the last 4 slices of pizza home!:o
Oh well, back on track tomorrow!
Tomorrow I have planned:
Breakfast : Eggs
Lunch at work : Cereal
Dinner : Spicy chicken wings, sweetcorn rice & salad.
Does anyone have any interesting ideas for chicken? Apart from grilling or roasting and having with salad and rice, I'm running out of ideas and getting a little bored with the chicken now!

I love garlic! I will try this recipe, as well as the marinade I've already planned, that way everyone has something incase they don't like it.
Freezing it will be very handy, as my brother now doesn't know if he wants the bbq on Thursday or Saturday (he's planning on seeing his mates too while he's down. I was trying to plan when to marinade, as I didn't want to do it Wed night and then leave the chicken in the fridge til Sat!
I'm not to fond of sweet things so I think I will leave out the sugar (I've only got white sugar at home that I keep for visiters cuppas). Will the remaining mixture keep if I need to wait til Sat? Or is it freezable too?
I've never tried Sake, might enjoy it at the bbq toocan you drink it neat, or do you need to mix it?
