Lois, I think you missied that I put on 1lb at the end of july so my total weight loss should be 19lb not 20lb. Thanks xx

Count me in too, please. Just to clarify - am I trying to lose 5lb before the end of August or September here? Sorry to be a bit thick.:o

10k reached today (just! had to go about 6 or 7 times round the block just to get that last few hundred steps on!:p Any neighbours looking out must have wondered what on Earth I was up to) so average creeping back up slightly to nearer the 10000 again. As was said earlier (can't remember by whom - sorry) it does not matter if you do not do 10000 every day as long as you seek to improve on whatever your personal average is. I used to walk a lot more than I do now and used to average over 10000 on a normal day so my RC instructor told me I ought to aim for 15000 if I wanted it to make any real difference. Now I am out of practice :o and if I can average 10000 I will be doing well.

    5 lb challane

..... would I rattle your cage with a smile you thought was pervy delly? No, I'm more pure than that :)

I'm optimistic now that I've worn off the excesses of last weekend. It was a bit tempting to get on the scales for a midweeker this morning but I talked myself out of it in case it breeds disappointment. I dunno about anyone else, and I presume everyone is the same, but I think I can kind of feel when I've lost or put on... and today I feel pretty svelte lol - best in ages. Probably just a case of getting rid of last week's binge though rather than anything dramatic.

How is everyone this fine morn anyway?

Hello, any chance I can join your club? I'm really overweight & I feel like a whale :(

I started a couple of months ago at just over 17 stone, I want to get down to about 14 stone eventually. I've slowly managed to drop to 230 lbs (I think thats 6 lb off 16 stone.

    I think I need a bit of a push.

Also, does anyone know if eggs are good or bad for you (I've heard both!)
I find it difficult to eat breakfast, mostly due to my rolling shifts ~ if I'm on earlys I just can't force it down at 5am, and if I'm on nights I don't get up til 4pm, and usually just don't bother.
However I love poached eggs on toast (wholemeal bread & marg) and wondered if this was a healthy enough breakfast as I could prob eat it every day.

Raphael - Personally I think eggs are good for you, someone correct me if wrong but I guess its how you cook them. So poached eggs are fine. I think the only bad thing about eggs are that they are high in colesterol.

saversarn - How easy or hard do you find it to do the 10k steps? I have thought about doing this as well but get put off by the high figure.

    Thanks
To be honest I find it a real struggle during the week, I work full time in a business park, I just into my car drive 10 miles then park in my allocated spot outside the office- no where to go lunchtime as we are in the middle of no where.Anyway to combat this I get up early and try and go for a walk before breakfast and then take my dog for a long walk after work. Weekends are a doddle but it takes effort in the week. And today.... I just could not get out of my bed this morning (not my fault my duvet was holding me hostage!) so no early walk!!!

Well my goal was to get down to a rounded stone by my holiday and as we are off tomorrow I weighed in early (usually sunday).

I am quarter of a lb away from my goal!! And if I lost that 1/4 lb then I would also have reached the 5lb challenge. Bottoms!!!

Oh well at least it's another lb and a 1/4 gone. ;)

Please add me to the challenge - will need it when we return from holiday - although am planning to make good use of the swimming pool ;)
