saversarn - How easy or hard do you find it to do the 10k steps? I have thought about doing this as well but get put off by the high figure.
Thanks0 -

when my husband came home last night we talked about what happend at WW as he had to rush right back to work after getting weighed and i gave him some space to get weighed as to him thats something very personal.
anyway, it turns out that the leader weighed him and asked him how much he'd like to be... he said he wasn't sure and she said well your ideal weight is 13 stone so lets put that down, so he is aiming for a 5 STONE DROP!!! i am so mad right now, its her job to offer him small chunks so he doesn't feel overwelmed and it took alot of courage on his part to finally pluck up the courage to actually go there that im worried he wont want to go back now  she made no effort to talk to him or even ask him to stay for the meeting, she barely even looked at him just gave him his sheets and said see you next week.
hopefully i have done enough explaining so he understands what its all about and when he goes back next week having lost weight that will be enough motivation in itself, then i will lookk for another meeting and send WW an email telling them how rude MAJORIE DOORS was :rotfl: she might as well of said 'your fat, you sit over there'
..... I don't think she was irresponsible in recommending a 5 stone drop if indeed that's what he needs. There are ways, means and follow-up encouragement though. If there's that much to be lost, I personally would not have even asked for a final target. There's a lot to be said for the "no pressure, just keep it up, see how you go for the time being" approach.
I attended a SW consultant-wannabe meeting to gauge whether it would be for me. Sometimes I wish I could have a go at it, some of the plums I've seen do the job are beyond belief - straight out of training camp, no sign of common sense. It's like it's drilled!0 -

but well done to you all on your loses... you are all a great motivation to me
This made me so angry  , what a ruddy cheek to put it mildly. In my time with WW I've had some excellent group leaders but the last two were rubbish, hence the reason why I did it on my own this time. It is very very hard for a man to pluck up courage to attend these female dominated classes so give your OH :kisses3: from me I think he's brilliant and I wish him all the best and not let the b*****s get him down  ...
...Well done beanie on turning down a pudding :T you deserved champagne for that  ...

...doing chickpea stew tonight because it's quick and easy and the troops requested it, so good for them...
...I've thrown the step counter thingy across the room :rotfl: I can get it to show the time, calories, miles   but not the number of flip flop flippin steps  :rotfl: ...

I have just had a lovely dinner please tell me it was healthy... It was Tomato & Bacon Pasta - Made with 1 Pk Value Bacon (all rind cut off), 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, 1 onion, 1 large glass of red wine and some dried mixed herbs.. This was served up between me, dh and 2 kids.. with dh having a biggest portion.0

.... that would fit within a SW red day plan as long as you counted the pasta as a healthy extra and counted the wine as syns. So yeah, I'd OK it
Having said that, from a WW outlook, you'd get your bottom kicked for the pasta - it's one point per 20g.
A calorie-counter will be along in a minute with a review from that perspective
It's all down to portion sizes though really, whichever way you look at it.0 -
^^Sounds lovely to me JHKE I find this sort of meal very popular with MrP and DD, and it suits a dieter's plan as well. If your children enjoyed it then it must be okay

People keep mentioning they like so and so's avatar. Not knowing what peeps were talking about, a little research has shown me what they are and how to switch them on. Didn't know what I was missing :j .
Does anyone else's system not show new posts, once you've open up the forum and left it for a bit, unless you flick back to the previous page and forward to the current page again?
bbI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

.... lol Bb I put avatars on the other night and have now switched them off again. Found them too annoying.
Often a page won't refresh unless you refresh it. Click the refresh key (two green arrows button on the navigation bar) - one less click than going back and forward again0 -
BB, I've just PMed you a long message but I think I lost it before it sent, GRR! Don't know what this dodgy French computer/internet is doing but it's doing my head in (nowt to do with human error of course!)
Let me know if you did get it by chance but if not, sorry!! I will send another when I'm back to England and thank you for your lovely message xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

welcome back Katiep and Welcome justmarried06. You've done a great thing by joining us - if you need any help or advice, just call.
Bails good luck on the journey home with the outlaws. I'll keep an eye out for news of mass murders on the motorways.(thought this one was particularly appropriate!).
We are always skint did you think of asking your OH how it made him feel? Maybe he was thinking that already? Who knows (except for ajax) how men's minds work!
JHKE I was thinking about your 10000 steps challenge. I think the best way for you to tackle it is to get a pedometer and see how many steps you already to and try to improve on that. For instance: if through your normal daily life you take 4000 steps, try and up it to 6000 within the next week... and so on. Then when you get the 10000 steps it'll seem like a doddle!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
