I was sorry to read about that child's comment to your son about you Feisty, you're right, kids can be cruel, but good for you for doing something about it, you are an inspiration to us:T . My DD bought a pedometer last week and it's sat on the sideboard since then - step count 9 I think - I'm going to see if I can get it working, I'm not too techie with these things and perhaps give it a go tomorrow. BTW your avatar is lovely ...

...Blimey maniac you are having a rough time, I hope you start to pick up and get completely well soon. Make sure that you're getting plenty of vitamins and minerals as it's so easy for these to get depleted when you have gastric problems...

Had a fab meal last night & a first in beanielou's life~ I had NO pudding.
Did drink rather a lot of champange though!
Back on the straight & narrow now though.

Afternoon all - would you mind if I joined your merry band? I went to a Rosemary Conley class for the first time last night and am now the heaviest I've ever been. Loved the exercise class after though and think I should be able to follow it okay but may need some extra inspiration for recipes etc!!

petrichor, oh's weight can be rather sickening it must be said. but he is VERY active and living proof that if you exercise enough you really can eat whatever you want. His doctor is trying to get him to quit smoking and made him have a full health screening. Everything came back perfect - cholesterol, blood sugar, bmi, the lot. I was green with envy!

forgot to mention, Lois, I love the quote on your posts, it makes me smile every time i see it.

Hey peeps, it's great to be able to catch up with you all again, without having 10 pages to wade through, lol!

Still raining here, we're now starting the journey home tomorrow (a day early) so that's 2 days in a car with the in-laws... anyone wanna swop??! My tongue already has some quite severe bite marks in it so let's hope I don't chew through it completely (either that or the MiL's ear!). Hmm, do you think no tongue would make it harder to eat though?....:rotfl:

Which reminds me - I'd love to get some more smilies on the go, can anyone tell me how to find some? My OH was well impressed with the one hammering the computer, lol!

Oh, and a massive congratulations to Bindiboo, you must be well chuffed! And Feisty Fairy, I'm sorry to hear about the comment from the child too, they can be really, really mean! Top marks for using it to your advantage though, really hope you find even more success on here with us.

saversarn, my username was created for me by ebay - the names of a couple of pets plus cat because it sounded better than dog even though I'm a dog person really. Apparently poppycat is an american cartoon character.

im so pleased though that your obviously lovely children feel they can talk to you about anything and that its inspired you to want to do it

on a much less happy note from me - i am FUMING and still haven't calmed down from last night
when my husband came home last night we talked about what happend at WW as he had to rush right back to work after getting weighed and i gave him some space to get weighed as to him thats something very personal.
anyway, it turns out that the leader weighed him and asked him how much he'd like to be... he said he wasn't sure and she said well your ideal weight is 13 stone so lets put that down, so he is aiming for a 5 STONE DROP!!! i am so mad right now, its her job to offer him small chunks so he doesn't feel overwelmed and it took alot of courage on his part to finally pluck up the courage to actually go there that im worried he wont want to go back now :mad: she made no effort to talk to him or even ask him to stay for the meeting, she barely even looked at him just gave him his sheets and said see you next week.
hopefully i have done enough explaining so he understands what its all about and when he goes back next week having lost weight that will be enough motivation in itself, then i will lookk for another meeting and send WW an email telling them how rude MAJORIE DOORS was :rotfl: she might as well of said 'your fat, you sit over there' :eek:

but well done to you all on your loses... you are all a great motivation to me

When I was a child I had a doll called Katie copy cat, your name always reminds me of her..... probably way before your time
