  • Hi everyone

This week has not been my best, have had so many bad days and seem to slip up regularly, suppose it's part of the journey, but hey I am determined to get back on and start again this week. I've lost 1lb this week, but am sure it'll catch up with me next week, but I am going on holiday in a couple of months time and really want to have lost some serious weight by then. Good luck to everyone and well done to everyone who lost weight and managed to stay the same this week.

Lois, please could you amend the chart for me, not sure where I went wrong but have lost a total of 9.5 pounds so far not 11. Thanx so much for that and hope you have a lovely happy week.

    Cheers

    Morning All!

I always say it's going to be a quickie, and then I gas on...
    First things first...

Well done Skintt/skinny cay! Fabulous loss! I'm well envious of all the losers this week, as I've clocked up yet another maintain.
Thanks to whoever posted the links regards maintaining, petrichor I think?
It made very useful reading, although the suggested point about increasing my calorie intake did tempt me to just go staright out and buy a chocolate bar...
    :EasterBun

The last one had a big picture of ice cream and said...you have burned 1067 calories = 2.9 ice cream sundaes.....which I promptly read as....

you have burned 1067 calories...you can EAT 2.9 ice cream sundaes...
Any tips to avoid this illogical train of thought?

Oooo, I wish my gym did that! Very clever. The only suggestion I can think of is try and modify your thinking a little bit. So instead of 'I can eat 2.9 sundaes' perhaps try and think 'wow, I've burnt off 3 sundaes. Maybe this month I'll let myself have one as a reward'.
I know ajax, amongst others, certainly recommends rewarding yourself, and I'm inclined to agree, as otherwise it can just feel like punishment.

After you've reduced your mind to thinking the above, it would only take a small step to thinking 'I've burnt of how much?Haven't I done well?' without the need to reward yourself.

I hope this helps a bit?

Well, no internet access at home again last night - I'm really beginning to regret changing my ISP (warning to others - if anyone approaches you suggesting you join a 'club' that saves money on utilities, don't go for the internet/telephone package).

.......me thinks we're gonna have to buy tomorrow's copy of The Daily Planet to see the chart this week. :D

Go on Lois, name and shame the culprits who have given you a dodgy ISP!!

(so far pain au chocolat, pain, vin rouge, fromages, biere, chocolat, tartes du patisserie have all been munched down)

......hark at her, pretentious git! :D Bonnet de douche, Rodney, bonnet de douche!

Well done on your loss bails, that's a great result for a holiday week considering you haven't failed to enjoy the nice food. You are indeed the creme de la menthe of people.

And of course, hats off to everyone else who has lost too. :T

Tallgirl, are you up for a golf/weight loss combined challenge this weekend? I'm thinking along the lines of "net score divided by weightloss (lbs)" to give a final number. Of course, lowest number is the winner. Loser is only allowed to have one bottle of wine next week, winner can have two during the week, as long as it fits in with cals/points/syns/whatever.
    You game?

.......lol... gotta laugh at this familiar story, I do it so often myself. "Fantastic, I've lost a pound - I'll celebrate with a vegetable jalfrezi, chips and a naan. Oooh, and a bottle of Corbieres". Total madness.

Well done on your loss kyle, and I'm sure you can put the activity in to show us another loss next week!
