wow skint catt! that is one impressive loss. You should be very proud of yourself. Sorry to hear about the food poisoning Teeni - hope you feel better soon. I could probably do with a dose although thats probably less funny if you actually get it.

Feeling quite proud of myself this evening as yet more hassle dropped on me from a moderate height and i didn't deal with it by reaching for the biscuit tin which is what I've been doing for the past 6 months.

Have always wondered whether I should switch to going to SW classes but on the recommendation on ajaxgeezer i think i'll stick with bodyoptimise and this thread. It worked for me last time, I just got hacked off when I plateau'd.

    Keep smiling everyone!

..... I just want to be clear, KPC. Are you a SW "old-hand"? I'd always recommend staying to class for newbies, for 3 months at least. Only when class becomes dull - and one stops learning - is when I think it's time to leave.
  • Evening all :hello:

sorry I've been a bit quiet. Weekend visitor ( who devoured my sw meals without realising they were being done good.) Mind you, she's just come back from India having lost 2 stone thanks for some nice worm infestation. Was thinking of booking my ticket...:rotfl: ...not.

LOIS could you put me down for a maintain this week please - I didn't go for weigh in this week as was feeling poorly on return from work today and am curled up in bed with a hot water bottle.

3 guesses who will win slimmer of the week this week skinty catt - fantastic: well done.

Good on you bails foor keeping in touch. It's great to hear you find this forum such a support.

I find it facinating that there are the same people each week at my SW who just can't be following the plan properly because they lose and gain the same lbs every other week. Maybe I'm just lucky becasue it has all really clicked from day one for me and I have been able to remain very focussed. But I find being able to eat plenty so wonderful I can't honestly say that so far it has been at all difficult. No doubt I will eat my words when the dreaded plateaux eventually hits!

Will try and catch up more tomorrow. Need to sleep again now

Am still not happy with delly  imposing a 21 point per week limit on alcohol (how she can advise saving all your alcohol points up for a good blow out and then limiting a bloke to seven poxy pints is beyond me)

Heyy! - S'not my fault sadd0004.gif blame the goverment or Ww for those healthy eating/drinking guidellines - and besides, you should have checked the book about alcohol before you got so exicted about limitless booze.
.....not that I'm kinky or anything, but... did just a little bit come out? :o
Man oh man - why do I have to work? 00020070.gif I'm totally shocked Ajax you're a total perv!hapy0004.gif

I agree with you Ajax and Petrichor. It was totally disheartening to see all those faces again but I thought to myself was the difference for me was that I have you guys for support 24/7 (not that I expect you all to be here all the time , but you know what I mean. I can always post if I'm feeling low).

I'm using the weigh in for extra motivation. I'm really not sure if I can do it so well on my own - after all I've been trying different things for the past month or more and seemed to be getting no-where. I joined WW with a friend last night and now I'm feelling totally competitive. (she's always been really competetive with me any time we joined a weightloss club before but I never really cared ) this time around? I'll be furious  if she loses more than me next week. I'm fairly certain that she will as she has a totally different build to me and I seem to lose weight very slowly. and it's not the greatest time of the month to be denying myself anything indulgent. The thing is - it's SO not like me to be competitive (growing up with a big family - what was the point:confused: )

What do you guys think? Should I let my newly found competitive streak take over? Do you think I can sustain it?

Oh -and weigh in this week, I maintained on my own scales (I'll use WW results from next week onwards!) and Ajax if you like mccoys crisps, you're going to have to stay away from them for a while as they're 5 1/2 points per packet 00020147.gif

  • missed lasr weeks post but have lost 1.5 pounds since last time
  • i started bodyoptimise this time last year and neverwent to classes as didn't think it would be my thing - and also i am soooooo very busy with all the other stuff that i do that i know i'd be really crap at getting there. SW worked spectacularly well for me when i stuck to it. And if i'm honest, it shouldn't have been difficult to stick to it - there is always something you can eat if you are a compulsive eater like i am. I got myself into a vicious circle of promising to make up for synning, thinking that if i'd blown it i might as well REALLY blow it, then feeling guilty and starting the whole thing again. Still i've got a few sewing and decorating projects on the go that are keeping my hands busy and empty of snacks. I also read a tip that if you start wanting to eat go and paint your nails or put on a face mask as it's really difficult to snack when doing either. Not being a face mask type of girl i tried this earlier by getting the polyfilla out and attacking some holes in a wall and it seemed to do the trick . . . .

lots of poorly people about! hope you are all feeling better soon.

.....I can only apologise that this is news to you :)

As I know you'll ask delly, MrsA lost another 3.5lb tonight so she has her half stone sticker in 2 weeks. She's excitedly trying on her old trousers in the bedroom as I type this. It's really quite sweet and cute to see her newly excited. She likes WW... I'm not quite so sure about WW as the dedicated WW kitchen scales have cost me £35 tonight

McCoys (well, crisps in general.). really not my thing. I do love it that you come to me with your little snippets though :) I love my delly :)

Oh, by the way... delly said " What do you guys think? Should I let my newly found competitive streak take over? Do you think I can sustain it?"

........and ajax says "Hell yeah... nail the b*tch" :D

That's fantastic - I take it the wedding night wasn't too much of a surprise for her then?shok0005.gif

Men and their gadgets - women and their scales (other gadgets). Take it as an investment in your Oh's weight loss. Is it worth £35 to see her as happy next week as she is this week?exct0006.gif

aww shucks!emba0002.gif I just like to pass on the information I get so that people don't eff up as badly as I do. I'm quite a helpful (I'd like to say little, but that's not strictly true) gnome.

Know what? You're right - can't beat her unless I try and I'm the one who benefits in the long run. - Bring it on!
