    Hi everyone,
After trying to do it on my own for way too long and failing I'm going to join weight watchers tonight and join you lot, if you'll have me..... that way I think it will be pretty impossible not to be slim and gorgeous eventually;)

Hi nikolacarter - I find that trying to eat more fruit and veg and less sugar and snacks helps me. I have to be careful of "counting" things as I did get very obsessed about it all. I also have to force myself not to weigh myself every day.

I used to get very obsessed but thankfully my family highlighted the fact before I got too skinny. I was a size 16 all over when I arrived here and am gradually losing the excess ;)

bigspender2 - I used to go to the gym on the run up to the wedding and every sit up I did I said - "walk down the aisle without having to hold the tum in" :D

Absolutely blummin right there saversarn:D :j :j you are more than welcome to join us. WW is very popular here so if you have a any questions just ask away! Good luck for tonight when you weigh in, hope it's not too much of a shock but if it is, so what! you've taken the biggest step by joining...

...whch reminds me starlight_xx I was sorry to read that you maintained again this weeknot-tagged-smiley-14571.gif, but here we say that it's better to maintain than to gain (not much help I know especially when it's yourself :o ) I found this and this the other week concerning these horrible stages that may be of help, I find that a food diary helps and altering my routine and times of meals, but being our WW guru I'm sure you already know all this. The only other thing that I can say is that it happens to the best of people despite how strictly they follow a plan, but it does pass and the weight will start to come off again...

...Glad to see that you're back on day one katiepc :T

    Hello all!

Thank you for your encouraging words of words of welcome - I'm getting myself back on track and today is day one! Is the weekly weigh in still posted on Mondays? If so, I'd like to be back in next week as I've got out of the habit of weighing myself which is very naughty.

Everyone chooses a different day for weigh-in but the wonderful Lois Lane usually updates the chart on a Wednesday evening so best to weigh-in at the beginning of the week if you are not attending a specific class.

I agree. I felt down a few weeks ago as I lost a total of 2 lbs in 3 weeks when I was used to losing 2+ lbs per week. It's hard and it's unfair (!) especially when you are being just as good as you have always been. But Petrichor is right, it's a phase, when your body is going through a readjustment mode. I feel that since then, I have noticed a really big difference in my shape even when the weight itself wasn't moving.

I am sure your scales will show a movement in the right direction soon, but in the meantime, I got encouraged trying on all my old clothes - either the ones that are now way too big, or the ones I used to fit into when I was thinner and that I am getting closer and closer to being able to wear again. Hope that helps a bit...you have done amazingly well to date, I am sure it will continue soon...

    Hi all

HOpe all are well after weekend. Well I managed to loose a few pounds today - 39 of them but unfortunatly they were ££££'s:eek: . The dog (Henry) has been off it a few days so a trip to the vet was made...£39.07 later, and a trip back in the am. He does seem to have perked up after the 2 injections he was given, medicine for his tummy and a steroid cream for a bald patch on his leg:o . He seems to be in the wars this week, poor thing... Have had to do him some boiled chicken for tea (OH will be upset the dog 's gettin chicken and he's on veggie tonight:rotfl: :rotfl: )

I made a rice pudding with apple in and my DS's turned up there noses so I seem to have eaten most of it:o :o Good job I used splenda:rotfl:

    Have a good evenin all

    Jo
