What I cant believe even more is Ive blimming well stayed the same AGAIN this week. I could cry! Actually I did! My official wi at my parents is tomorrow morning but I checked today when I was over and Im the same as last week, thats 2 weeks Ive lost nothing. Been sticking to it 110% and exercising. I dont know what to do next

Starlight -obscene-smiley-1012.gif Aww, I'm sorry you're upset about hitting a plateau I know that you're feeling really low but just wait until your official weigh in tomorrow before you come to any conclusions. Last Monday I'd only registered a 1lb loss. Last tuesday it was 2.5lbs.

You've done so well all along I think that sometimes hitting a plateau is your body's way of adjusting to the weightloss. Maybe it's time for you to switch to the core plan for a week or so and see how you go with that? Or maybe you're body has become used to the exercise that you're taking. I've found that investing in a heart monitor (straps onto your chest and gives a reading through a wristwatch ) keeps you working harder when you are exercising - It's a great motivator. Or maybe, just swapping the type of exercise that you do, if you walk, try swimming or even taking your normal walking route in reverse... any small change can make a difference.sport-smiley-5533.gif

Other than that, the best advice I can give you is to stick with it... you've done so well so far....you're an inspriation to all of us and it was your achievements that spurred me personally on to giving ww another go.:T

Hoepfully next week will be better for you, let us know how you're getting along.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.

Hi Nikolacarter and welcome. I am not sure what advice to give - perhaps you could contact your GP and get in contact with a dietician. I suspect that might be the best course of action if you have struggled with controlling your weight loss before.

Welcome too to bigspender2 and congratulations. I know what it's like to want to lose weight for the big day. You are in the right place here - we are a friendly bunch and always happy to help (although it is quiet around here at the moment with so many of our regulars away on hols!). Have you ever done a diet before? Many people do Weightwatchers or Slimming World or count calories or simply do their own healthy eating plans. Any ideas which you might want to do?

Wow up to 14 now can't believe it. Sorry did not have time to catch up with you all but will do soon.

Been quite good myself, only had 1 drink at the staff party as I offered to drive. It was free bar all night and I finally got to speak to big wig in the company. He asked me if I was teetotal well I had a good time and felt so much better than most the next day.

I have just gone on the scales I am now 11.8 so 2lb off going in the rigth direction.

Made some lovely jelly with fresh blackberries last night used some Cava for it and elderflower cordial. Can't wait to taste it tonight and if I dont use any cream on it it cant be that bad.

Must get on with some work now, take care all.

I lost a 1lb this week. I thought I might have lost more but I'm not too disappointed as I didn't actually start the weightwatchers online until Thursday so I'm just getting back into the swing of things.

I do know I need to do more exercise so I'm considering taking the train to work again. At least this means I have to fairly brisk 10 minute walk each day to and from the station. It'll hopefully save me money too.

Was good for most of the weekend.

Weigh in was Sunday morning and another 2 lb lighter :D Only 1lb left to my initial goal.

Fell out with OH so didn't eat much. Then Sunday night went to friends and was good and ate salad and healthy things.. right up to dessert where I had seconds (although none were with cream as I don't like it). Hopefully not ruined it for next week but am being good in case :D

    I hope everyone had a good weekend :j ...

... Well done to Tallgirl :j (only one drink when it's a FREE BAR!!! not-tagged-smiley-15649.gif), Lelc :j and newlywed :j (hope you're speaking to OH now :D )...

...628ga6u.gifnikolacarter and bigspender2 and thanks for joining us :T ...

...nixter - I realise what sort of problem that you face as I went down a similar route to you many years ago :o and I've found it best to tackle this time with the same bloody mindedness that I used then, but this time for a more sensible outcome ;) and it's worked so far :j Walking is a very good form of exercise especially if you can go at a fast pace, I recently bought some decent trainer looking shoes which have helped me walk much more easily and faster, I could'nt believe that by just doing this what a difference it makes  I've found that using a stepper also helps. Unfortunately thighs are the bane of a lot of womens lives :o but Rosemary Conley did a good book a few years ago called the Hip and Thigh Diet, I would suggest that you ask your local library to order it for you, it not only contains exercises but recipes and good all-round tips too...

...bigspender - You should have no problem losing 2 stone by next July, don't try to rush though, you don't need to, it's healthier to lose weight slowly and it's more likely to stay off too!...

I would suggest that you both find eating plans that suit your lifestyle and incorporate foods that you enjoy, don't deprive yourself of all the things that you like as you'll soon become disenchanted with it all and fall by the wayside and think how  you'll be then. Please stay with us, even just by browsing the posts will help you keep motivated :D ...

...Skint_Catt Good luck for tonight, not that you'll need it I'm sure :)

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

    Hello all!

Thank you for your encouraging words of words of welcome - I'm getting myself back on track and today is day one! Is the weekly weigh in still posted on Mondays? If so, I'd like to be back in next week as I've got out of the habit of weighing myself which is very naughty. Started meal planning properly again and heading off to bodyoptimise now to fill in my food diary. My OH is away this weekend so I have promised myself a chinese takeaway IF i manage my syns properly all week. baby steps and all that . . . . .

And HUGE congratulations to Suggs, your story is truly inspirational. Thnak you for sharing it with us all.
