Days I lived off a few quid, Days I didn't eat. For someone who has luxuries such as the internet and such I struggle to find understanding.

When I was in the situation, Someone handed me a blank piece of paper said I could send off for a job with it or use it as bog paper.

As for "Oh shes disabled" I've not broadcast if I am or not so please don't judge me.

    Theres something everyone can do.
where did i say i was micro budgeting, i also said my internet was free. I also didnt say i was struggling i just said it was my last 2 quid before tax credits.
I need the internet to do shopping as i cant walk round shops, oh cant push me and a trolley and he cant go by himself as he cant read.
Everybody budgets and has set amounts for each thing.

Unlike Sky TV, I'd say the Internet is pretty much an essential now.

Is there a reason he cannot read?

You are aware there are adult education classes for those with literacy problems?

He just cant, he went to a special school and tried the adult literacy classes.

It sounds like you both support each other managing things that each of you find hard. :)

im saving for her uni accommodation deposit which is 300 quid and her long list of stuff she needs. she wont be able to get a part time job as its a nursing degree and she has to do 37.5 hours a week on the wards plus all her study.

Rubbish - many student nurses do at least a couple of shifts as HCAs or as care assistants. In fact her cv will look pretty weak if she doesn't do something similar.

It's great that your husband has you to do the shopping, but what if something happened to you and you couldn't? He must actually rely on you in lots of areas: paying bills etc.

51 is very young not to be reading (going by my grandparents generation, 90+ now, who all read) but if he's tried everything (phonetics?) then I don't know what to suggest. I think you could do most food shopping by sight (eg fruit, veg, pasta, milk etc) and it would be easier in a shop than on the Internet (where you really need to be able to read.)

He cant do anything that involves reading or money he cant even count change, i sent him in a shop once with a tenner and he spent a pound and come back with 4 quid so i told him to go back and ask for the correct change.
    Makes him so vulnerable.
Like having another child, he does all the physical stuff and i sort all the paperwork and money etc.
Its everything though, i can tell him something and he'll come back later and not remember.
you have to tell him how to do stuff, once his in a routine of doing it his ok.
