Just spoke to the vet - Xrays done and I am picking Zara up at 5:30.

He will send her Xrays to FR for them to have a look at what hips look like and also to another referral vets where he works one day a week tomorrow.

Zara is scheduled for surgery this Friday at my vets unless FR says something else about her Xrays and want to see her there.

BUT I just spoke to them and they could not bring forward her 14th May appointment as this kind of issue is not considered emergency so to have her operation done at FR I would have to have her at home on painkillers till the 14th - that is over 2 weeks.

No idea what to think right now, need to wait for the feedback on xrays from FR and from the other referral vets...

Bringing my girl home tonight and will have to manage the stairs 91st Floor Flat) till Friday or till 14th May - depending on which option I go for. And then 12 weeks post op recovery...

    :(

    Thanks xxx

Just brought her back home. She is hoping like a rabbit with her spine curved poor thing.

I am not sure if to operate on her locally this Friday or wait till 14th and take her to FR.

Have to wait for the opinions on the Xrays...

She had morphine at the vets and 3x100mg tramadol to take at home...

Poor, poor Zara and of course you. I cant add much as you are doing all you can for Zara, (and of course we wouldn't expect anything less knowing just how much you love that girl)
Just wanted to send healing thoughts and prayers to you both.
    xxxxxxx

  • Sorry GR I'm confused :o

What did the x-rays show that your vet / local referral vet is maybe going to operate to fix on Friday?

Lordy she's going to need to pee loads if she's drunk that much :(

    Thanks...

Rising-as per title, it is cruciate ligament that needs sorting and my local vets do that op on site here BUT because of the previous hip lameness (despite THR few years back) - they are going to send Xrays to FR to see if hips still look ok before the cruciate op.

OR I could wait till 14th and have the cruciate op at FR rather then locally....

    Head spinning...
