Just called the vets as they did not call me so was a bit worried - turns out Zara had the surgery around 4 so is slowly waking up now, the vet is supposed to call me a bit later, will update then xx

Ohhh GR so sorry I've missed your updates - haven't been online much the past 24 hours

Very glad Zara's had her surgery and soooooo relieved (for both of you!) that she's able to go and stay with your friend for her recovery - I know you'd have been so worried she'd hurt herself going up / down (I know you've done it before but she's obviously older now and it can obviously become more difficult)

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery and please give her a big cuddle from me

What a wonderful, true friend you have, what a star. I know it will be bloody hard for you but as always you put your girlie first. I hope all goes well and Zara is back home with you where she belongs.

Thanks.. will have a large bottle rather than glass once the vet calls me - still waiting...

Ewa does dog boarding now so Zara will be a boarder in a crate poor thing but no steps and Ewa calls Zara her daughter-in-law as she has a boy that looks like Zara so.....

Vet called just before 9, said all went well with the surgery and to call tomorrow around midday to see what time she can be picked up..

Picking Zara up with Ewa at 9pm and going off to Ewa - Zara will stay there and I will come back home tomorrow.. Hmmm

It is a hospital s they are open 24/7...

We picked her up at 9pm and got to Feltham around 11pm, I stayed the night...

6 dogs in today at Ewa's place - 3 of her own, 2 boarding with her plus now Zara in a crate.

All fine so far - all dogs friendly and poking their noses to snif Zra, she is very interested in them too so will keep her entertained.

Apart from the bill which somehow came up to just under 4k instead of the 3k discussed PLUS was told will have to pay extra for check ups AND that she needs 6 weekly Xrays - again at extra cost. This s not what we discussed/agreed but got to wait till Tuesday now when the Practise Manager is back.
