Thanks but I was told that in 60% cases the other leg needs surgery fast after the first so really worried... :(

Zara made a run after a fox last night, Ewa called me around 11 pm.

She is limping on the leg that was operated on, we have an ortho appointment for tomorrow at 5pm to see if any damage was done - it was only 3.5 weeks post o and things were going so well

    :(

personally, I would still check with the vet.

If anythng has moved it is better to be dealt with now rather than later.

A short course of anti inflammatories may be appropriate.

Oh no - hope she's OK GR

Is she not on lead at all times atm - or did she do one of the lurch / pull moves they're great at and 'do a runner'

Not good at all - Zara seems to be dragging the other leg.
Vets at 5. Hoe she does not need another surgery as this would be too much for her and too much for me - she is insured for 7k but we are down to 1k left now till her renewal at the end of October.

    Oh dear... :(

I hope she is just favouring the other leg due to the strain in her bad leg.

When we spoke to the speacialist about Cleo's possible cruciate problem I said it was the right leg but my husband said she limped on the left leg.
He said often the dog appears on the other leg as they are 'saving' the bad one. Cleo's tear ( as oposed to a rupture) was in fact on her right leg.

Unfortunately, with the rehab you do need to be cruel to be kind.

Cleo only went out on the lead in the garden or walking along the road until her xray showed all clear.

The fist few times I let her offlead my heart was in my mouth as she just wanted to bound everywhere as normal.
