Put it through the shredder, they can have it back! Account CLOSED!
Just coming back to this one again as I'm having a bit of a rethink in terms of trying to look for the best overall single card account to stick everything on, and the Lloyds Avios duo seems to be a pretty good box ticker in terms of

    - a rewards system that's not cash but still useful to me (typically I get good value out of my Avios points)
    - 2 cards (amex/MC) but consolidates to one account/statement
    - Fee free foreign transactions that also earn Avios

So that could be where I'm headed next, only decision is whether to go for the standard £24 one or the premier £140, as the difference in benefits seems pretty marginal unless it also drives how high a credit limit is given, as practically anything less than 15k isn't really helpful to me!

Anyone got experience of these cards?

Just a quick question about cancellation if anyone can help?

I contacted Cap One via their secure messaging in my account and asked them about closing my account. I have now received an email to say they have replied however I can't now log into my account to see the response! Should I take this lock out as the confirmation of my account closure?!

    Thanks :)

Keep the card not use it, but keep it for the extras e.g. Credit monitoring

If the same as me, the message would say they are closing your account and a letter will follow (which it did in a couple of weeks)

    CapitalOne are *hitting themselves......

Has everyone received a survey from cap1 ( I had one this morning) about how we rate the card, and comparing with Amex?

I can only imagine there's been an immediate and tremendous decline in their card processing fees/revenues since June

85% of the market are apathetic.
    Moneysavers are the exception.
    So probably not.

Sorry just wondering if there is a dormancy Fee for Cap one, was going to keep the card for free Credit reports etc. (Have already lowered the credit limit).

Send them a secure message from your log-in page, or ring them, or look at the back of your statement for fees and charges!

FWIW, my platinum CapitalOne has no dormancy fee
