Hi to you all,and especially the newbies. :hello:
Sorry not to sign you up today.I've had a busy day,and will get you signed up and on starter's orders tomorrow.0 -
Evening all ( Nearly morning) Couldn't sleep so doing some calculations, after putting some of Fridays wages into my savings account, paying all mandatory bills this month and leaving myself £50 for fuel, i am left with £8.90 per day for the next 33 days (it's a long working month for me) considering i'm setting myself 18 NSD that should leave me with £160.20 left over at the end of the month in my bank.
That's £160 i could put into my savings account towards my Canal Boat (home).
My plan for this week is as follows
Monday - NSD
Tuesday - NSD
Wednesday - I have commitments which will mean i spend some money (less than £8.90)
Thursday - I have commitments which mean I will spend some morney (again less than £8.90)
Friday - NSD
Saturday - if i want i can spend as going to a party Sunday and will need some Alcohol
Sunday - NSD
I've also set myself the target of earning £10 additional income a day
So let the week beginDocumenting my journey from full time support worker to full time eBay reseller0 -
Hi Azzzaa.
Can't sleep either.
Bad news. This week begineth on Friday (1st of May),as the challenge runs from month to month, unless you'd prefer for May to begin tomorrow, given that you have 33 days before your next payday - yikes!
I am quite flexible about the matter,so please advise.0 -

Have a read of post #2 if you haven't already. It might give you a few pointers.
The thing is that a lot of us have 'allowed spends' and/or count days as nsds if we stay within budget. You don't have to count every spend, unless you want to,of course.
The great thing about this challenge (no Cheffie,it's not the world class cuisine) is that you make your own rules to suit you.
My own personal rule book changes a lot,but that's allowed too!
I have many allowed spends:
going swimming - yearly subscription,so allowed.
prescriptions - essential,so allowed.
all bills - essential,so allowed.
bus and train travel - I have a travelcard plus essential,so allowed.
budgeted spends for groceries,toiletries,catfood etc.
I have a weekly budget for groceries and a monthly budget for most other things.
I suppose that my main reason for doing the challenge is that I'm a dreadful impulse buyer, and doing the challenge does help me stay on the straight and narrow.
ps does anyone actually count every spend?0 -
Hi marmiterules
Would you kindly put me down for another 9 NSDs and a 3 in a row.
Off on our holidays at the end of the month so will aim to squeeze all of these in before then
Thanks as always for the support in keeping me on the straight and narrow

We count every spend that isn't a direct debit - which includes oyster auto top ups which is in effect a DD.
I don't count OHs spending from his own account, not opening that worm can.
Life (and NSDs) would be a whole lot easier and plentifu with allocated potsl but if I start having "except for" rules Id get too carried away.MFW2020 #5 £2,000/2,000 MFW2021 #5 £1,850/3,500MFW2022 #5 £3.001/3,000Sep'12 £233,750 Jan'15 £222,329 Dec’21 £139,584 MFiT T4 #24 £48k/£34k MFiT T5 #24 £22,186/£41k MFiT T6 #24 £4,700/£29k0
