well, I am a genuine person with financial difficulties, I am not lazy not incapable to find a job! I can and I do contribute to the society! I am in the beginning now and I need support, I cannot afford a home at the prices that aim to people having 50k income. And I don't want luxuries, just a small flat. But that disgraced state, wants me to be lazy and incapable to help me. Why they give job seeker's allowance? Make them wipe the streets to get it! Not being lazy all day.
Why don't you go home to mum & dad then?0 -
You'll be waiting a very long time for a council flat. Despite the council admitting from the start that my parents house was unsuitable, I still had to wait some 2 years to be rehoused.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Op, Council housing is usually based on a 'needs' basis.
What you need to do is to register with a couple of Councils. They will give you access to their 'bid for a home' system and place you on a list by grading your needs and wants.
Bid each week and over time, you move up the list until you are at the point where you are in the top 3 for a property.
Be warned, if you turn down 3 properties, you will find yourself at the bottom of the list again.
Oh, btw, don't be surprised to find your fellow residents fall into the chav classification, or that the property is far away from public transport (or the public transport stops running early in the evening).Never Knowingly Understood.

but it's not possible to register with many councils, because they want me to be resident in each specific council for years!0

yeah, it's ridiculous, you can't stay in a borough for long, you just have to move where you find a job!0
-
So why would you want council housing in an area where you dont want to live and will probably have to move from for your job? :think:0

I will stay for several years, so I need a house0
