Hello everyone. Still struggling to find money to PAD but on the plus side have just moved my broadband and home phone and saved some money there and also with my latest meter readings EDF are starting to recognise that last year was unusually high usage due to our house extension building work - this time last year there was no back to the house! - and so our usage is now dropping and they're finally starting to feed that through to the bill so that things might start to get a little easier. Would help though if OH's clients didn't pay him by cheque that takes 7 days to clear and be of use.

Anyway, have managed a PAD of £12.10 today

    Morning everyone!

Popping in with my best PAD yet I think, £483.93

£80 to Barclaycard, £3.93 to the EF and £400 to OH's car fund.

We have to save for a car alongside everything else as his was scrapped a couple of months back, we are having to borrow his mums but she could technically ask for it back any time (and it's very dear to run so if we got a more economical one we'd save money pretty fast).

The PAD's will be more focussed towards debt repayment though - I've decided to add my Santander overdraft to my signature, save for this somewhere then pay it off in full - I worry that if I try to reduce it £50 per month or something they will just cancel it completely. If I think about it, the interest is probably worse than the CC's.

Can I ask where people are saving their EF's? Mine is just in an RBS Select account I happened to have, but wondering if it's really the best place for it (tax?) and whether I should put it into my ISA.

    Have a good day everyone x x x

I have mine in a savings account linked to my current account. This means I can transfer it instantly for when an emergency happens... I have another savings account which is where my "savings" are and where I will be aiming to save 3 months wages eventually, but that's not an instant transfer.

    Hope this helps?
