Dear Sir/Madam
We write to thank you for your emails to both Worldpay and Mighty Deals. We regret any delays or confusion that has been experienced in relation to refunds we are processing to you.
At the end of April, Mighty Deals changed payment gateway providers and unfortunately, because only the gateway provider is authorised to keep your payment details, the only way the refund could actioned was by reversing the transaction via that provider.
Instructions were given to the old gateway provider (Worldpay) to send the money back to your bank or credit card provider however, for some of our customers refunds have not been processed as quickly as we would have liked.
Mighty Deals has been working hard to resolve these issues and to ensure all refunds are processed. We have been advised by WorldPay to expect refunds to be processed over the course of the next 2 to 3 working days.
Depending on who you bank with, you should see the funds returned to you between 3 to 5 working days after they are received by your bank, although sometimes, this period can be up to 10 working days. As gesture of goodwill we have added £5 Mightycash to your account to help compensate you for any concern or disruption caused.
We appreciate this is a frustrating situation and we will keep you regularly updated but in the meantime please direct any further enquiries to Mighty Deals at the following email address: CustomerFeedback@mightydeals.co.uk
We do truly value your custom so please be assured we are doing all we can to fix this.
Yours sincerely,
Mighty Deals Team.0 -

We've just had two of those new emails too.
I see they still offer the usual email address to write to. We sent them two emails this morning - again - neither of which have had replies - again. Just this standard circular re-promising all the promising they've made before.0 -
ermmm..........
Received chargeback refund from bank first thing this morning......
then mighty deals refunded me in the afternoon!0 -
At last - both remaining £5 refunded!
A successful(ish) end to a sorry story of incompetence, lying and prevaricating.
Only successful-ish of course in that Mighty Deals cancelled the orders for Tesco vouchers - for incorrect reasons, having changed the t&c - and have been in breach of contract ever since.
But at least we're not out of pocket.
Now, how to unsubscribe from Mighty Deals??? Anyone actually managed it?
ETA I see that they are still including their phone number in the refund reference - MIGHTYDEALS.CO.UK 01483412904 GBR Mighty careless!0 -

I have not sent any messages to MD. Today I read that some had received refunds so checked our bank/credit card statements.
3 out of 5 have been refunded.
Will wait to see what happens with the other 2 accounts.
The 2 other accounts were refunded on 8 June.
Interesting to note that on 3 of the accounts, the refund is back-dated to 22 April purchase date.
1 refund is dated 6 June and 1 refund is dated 8 June.
Trust everyone will get their refunds in due course.0 -
Great to hear that many are being refunded now. As Zanderman says, this is the best of a very bad situation now, and is not the outcome any of us originally expected (which was to have the deal we purchased honoured) but at least MD are not keeping the money.
On a related note, I finally had a reply from TrustPilot and they've assured me they will closely monitor MD's reporting behaviour. So if anybody is yet to review their experience now may be the time to do it, while TP are (possibly) keeping an eye on it.0 -
Just like to say that I have had no problems using Mighty Deals and would recommend them.
I ordered the Tesco deal last year when it was a gift card through the post followed by an Asda offer if I remember correctly.
This years was ok, even though it was a long wait to get the electronic voucher.
People who have had problems seem to be those with multiple accounts, when the terms clearly state 1 per customer!!!!curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -

While it's great that you didn't have problems, this is just not true which you'll realise if you read this thread through from the beginning. I, for example, was told by MD that my order was cancelled because I had unsubscribed from their emails (which is not true and wasn't a term anyway). I was a new customer (first and last time using MD) who purchased ONE voucher, legitimately, and nobody else in my household made a purchase. Others have received other reasons for cancelling, a number of which were not clearly stated (or stated at all) in the terms and some were even more ridiculous reasons than mine (cancelled because they had not opened the email newsletter, for example).0
