    Good Afternoon All

'All customers now have their Tesco redemption email. Over 4,900 customers have redeemed and already have their Tesco £10 for £5 Digital Gift Card. We offer these deals to reward loyal customers and attract new customers and have to date sold over 100,000 x '50% Off The High Street' deals with leading retailers including Argos, Tesco, Debenhams and Currys PC World. Over 5,000 duplicate accounts were created to purchase more than one per customer, which not only created a great deal of confusion, but also breached our deal terms. This confusion has meant we initially cancelled some orders in error, however we have since apologised, rectified this and ensured all customers who purchased one Tesco Digital Gift Card have now received their redemption link. We have also purchased an additional 4,500 Digital Gift Cards from Tesco to ensure we are over subscribed. These will be sent out to customers when necessary this week'.

    Thank you
    Mighty Deals Customer Feedback Team

No I haven't. I have ONE active MD account. I only ordered ONE gift card. I have emailed twice with no response. CON!!

Still no refund, still no response from customer services. Oh and still receiving the daily email I allegedly unsubscribed from thus breaching terms and conditions.

It's only a fiver but this is about principle now. Will be asking my credit card issuer (ironically Tesco Bank) to process a charge back, is there any downside to taking this course of action? Don't want a black mark on my credit record over something so silly.

You won't get any sort of mark on your credit file for a chargeback.

I personally can't quite be bothered/don't have time to do one yet, but will be doing so if the refund hasn't appeared by Friday.

I'm a member of the not-so-exclusive club of people who were told they wouldn't get the voucher because they unsubscribed. I've emailed Mighty Deals several times and can prove that I did not unsubscribe (even if this were in the original terms, which it wasn't). The date and time they say I unsubscribed is in fact the date and time I made the purchase, and the first (ever) email received from Mighty Deals didn't come through until after that so I have no idea how think I could have unsubscribed, or WHY I'd have unsubscribed, before even receiving my first email. Oh, and I am still today receiving their promotional emails.

No reply to my latest two emails so I have now contacted TopCashBack - where I found out about the deal (Mighty Deals had fairly reasonable feedback there before all of this!) - to ask them to remove Mighty Deals as a merchant as they are not trustworthy. Maybe others could do the same, and anywhere else you see Mighty Deals being promoted. I will also be contacting Trust Pilot to ask why so many reviews are being censored as I am sure it's not their intention that the system could be abused like this.

Honestly, Mighty Deals could just have come out and said "The deal has been oversubscribed and we made the mistake of not limiting the numbers, so unfortunately we're not able to complete the order, really sorry about this. We've learnt from this mistake and will make sure it doesn't happen again." I'd have been OK with that - a little annoyed at not getting the deal maybe, but I wouldn't be going out of my way to warn people away from them. It's the clear dishonesty that is bothering me. I'm sure most people feel the same.

Well i emailed as per your post and what happens i received the generic email stating that all custmers had received their vouchers blah blah blah.My voucer was the same number as countless others So it WAS INVALID, so all i have received is a useless number not a voucher.

I have already contacted them but they said they couldn't comment on a retailers actions for confidentiality reasons. They said they would take my comments into account. Perhaps if everyone who has had their review censored does the same, they might reinstate the reviews and give consumers a properly balanced view of these cowboys customer service.

    I've been Money Tipped!
We have received our Tesco "tenners", but no emails. Just checked our accounts and processed from there.
We both "un-subscribed" from the relentless email offers ages ago, but never "un-subscribed" from MD.
A bit of a faff, like the Shell offer and I'm not too sure it needs to be as complicated or time-consuming.
Good luck to all you waiting for your vouchers or refunds.

  • The guy that said Trust Pilot not being trustworthy is also spot on. They won't even take my evidence as valid lol They are crooks.

I think they also bank on the fact that some people will not use the voucher straight away and may forget about it/and or when they do go to use it the balance shows as zero and they think they must have used it already and forgotten.

Quite clever of them really, get hold of thousands of pounds for a month, pay out to a few, refund some, and bank on the fact that some will forget/not be bothered/ will not realise the voucher has no balance etc for some time and then difficult if not impossible to do anything about.

Managed to "redeem" voucher now by accessing my account - with message to say email with gift card will be sent shortly. Sure enough email just received to say my Digital Gift Card will be sent via email no later than 20th May. A further email asking me to refer to the T & Cs of the Voucher - suggest that they should refer to them and adhere!
