I don't know where to post this, but this new design is really irritating. The new layout only applies to the homepage on my laptop. The forums still appear in the original green (which I find much easier to read). However, when viewing from my mobile phone the whole site is in this new hard to read design.
Most irritating of all is I have to keep clicking back to the homepage in order to shortcut between forum threads because someone decided we didn't need the shortcut toolbar thingy when we are actually viewing the forums. DOH!!!Minimalist

my eyes now hurt as this new screen has just appeared. Whiter than white but just rubbish to look at!!
How can you get back to more civilised version?
Found in user control panel to save older version, but it does not appear to work?

The switch to old version doesn't work for me either and my eyes just don't like this grey text on a white screen. It's taking me far too long to focus on the writing. Where are your accessibility options, because in it's current format the forum is nearly unusable.0

Managed to change to the old "skin" via my profile - the toggle provided doesn't work.
Grey writing on a white background is not fair game, so please keep a higher contrast option available in the settings going forward?0 -
Sorry the new version is far too white, text looks like its aimed at children what with the bold text and spacing. Eyes ache after a very short time. Trying to read more about the changes from the link https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5222194 but it says I do not have permission to read the pageThoughts:

For variety, a compliment: the "old look, new masthead" view is working well for me at 3840x2160 resolution (4k, roughly) with about 40% width and 85% height normally used for each browser window. I like the reduced above the fold space usage.
New one isn't something I'd want to use, not only because it's far less efficient at using vertical space on my display that I pay significant money to buy but also because the larger white percentage produces a brighter effect even if the colour of the pixels is identical. Redisplaying the initial post on each page isn't very helpful, increase the scrolling workload to get down to the relevant part of the content each time. Using the screen resolution to set sizing assumptions on a page probably wouldn't be very clever at 4k resolution when it's unlikely that the whole width, particularly, is being used.0 -
Maybe this has already been reported in this thread but the link to the "read more info here " on the new forum gives me:Patr100, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.0 -
