Not posted on here for a while.
We did La Palma back in October. A canary island. Was lovely just how I imagine Tenerife or Gran Canaria was back before commercialism arrived.
Been popular with the Germans for years as it has a lot of hiking areas.
Very beautiful island, very quiet and lots of volcanoes!!!
A teeny bit too quiet for us, but we enjoyed the island anyway0 -

On my last visit 2 years ago I was disappointed about how developed it had become, especially in Chaweng where they were building a shopping mall and cinema.
Nothing booked for me at the moment. I used to like going away for a few days of sunshine over Xmas/New Year but the prices are getting silly so I now typically do a long weekend in February when it is much cheaper.
It's even longer since I've been, so would probably be well disappointed now. I loved it in the early days, as I did Phuket.travelover0 -

I never made it to Phuket (at least Patong) before the development and commercialisation came but hated it when I got there.
Where's the best in Thailand now for somewhere which isn't too busy but not too dead? I really like Ao Nang but I have been there twice in three years so fancy somewhere similar but different (or "same same but different" as they say in Thailand)0 -
Last trip we headed north to Chiang Mai and Chang Rai but I missed not being at the coasttravelover0

Have a look at Quy Nhon in Central Vietnam coast.
It's not on the tourist trail yet, but it won't be long.
Got 6 nights there in February, along with Hanoi, Bangkok, and Kanchanaburi.

A couple of months for me, where you staying as it's first time for us
Hi. We're staying at the
Affinia in Manhatten,- very close to Penn.station. it's a suite, though not as fancy as it sounds:)
We chose it because it has some cooking facilities and a fridge. Means we don't have to go out for every meal.
Not our first time in New York, but first time at this time of year. Hope we don't freeze lol.0 -
Anyone got anything booked for next year yet? Corfu booked for .july, and flights to Malaga booked for February.
Looking at maybe a long weekend in April somewhere, not sure where yet though.0 -
