Well,we went Christmas 2013 and the weather was fab, sunny all week except for one day which was cloudy but still warm.about 23/24 degs but it feels a lot warmer. We went Christmas 2014 and it was a bit of a mixed bag, no rain tho, and still got lovely tans. We gave last Christmas a miss and apparently it was the warmest in 30 years. Can't wait to return, whatever the weather its gonna be better than here.

    Hi. We're staying at the
Affinia in Manhatten,- very close to Penn.station. it's a suite, though not as fancy as it sounds:)

We chose it because it has some cooking facilities and a fridge. Means we don't have to go out for every meal.

Not our first time in New York, but first time at this time of year. Hope we don't freeze lol.

We are staying in the Dumont which is part of the Affinnia in Manhattan, I got a good deal and checked reviews and it sounded reasonable in a decent enough location.

Don't you just love jet lag. I've been awake since 2:30 so my day at work will be a delight. Tomorrow should be even better as I have a job interview at lunchtime.

I think the only times I've had it real bad is both ways to Hawaii, was only there for 6 nights though. Luckily it was only the return journey of NZ, we were going to bed at 6.30pm & getting up at 2.30am.

    Where you been Ballard?

I've had a fortnight in India which is only +5 1/2 hours but I'm not a great sleeper at the best of times so anything more than about 3 hours hits me. It'll probably take a week to ten days for me to get back to normal.

It doesn't matter what time I go to bed, I wake up in the wee small hours regardless. I'm not really moaning about it too much; I know what always happens but I choose to go long haul anyway so this is just the downside of the holiday.
