Dosh have you decided yet?
Spent all morning playing around online and finally decided on 3 nights in Berlin. I've been there with work a few times on business but it has always been a flying visit so I've never seen anything apart from airports, hotels and meeting rooms. Budapest is still on my to-do list but it can wait for another time.
Better start brushing up on my German. "Ein Bier Bitte. Danke." should be enough to get by0 -

I got up yesterday with China on my mind. I had a look on Travelbird, and found an interesting itinerary that I thought I could copy into a D-i-Y adventure. But when I looked at the cost of a getting a visa for 2 of us, I thought stuff that!
I carried on looking at Travelbird longhaul, and saw Nicaragua. Did a bit of searching, and thought that looks easy.
Next thing I was on skyscanner to see what flights were like. Not bad, so next thing onto the United Airlines website and booked.
£468 each for flights from LHR via Houston, with 3 hour layover in each direction. 29 April to 26 May. Booked it.
Got a lot of planning, and a bit of basic Spanish to learn.
Probably start a thread in a few weeks.
Was in Tenby all last week, and the Pembrokeshire National Park, cold but beautiful.
Torquay all this week, just about to set off.
6 February, off to Malta [Mellieha] for 3 weeks.
Stay calm, and keep travelling.:)0 -
This time in 4 months I will be flying back from Mexico, (probably very sunburnt knowing my luck)0

We went on our fist holiday abroad in over a decade last September.
It was our silver wedding anniversary and we went back to Corfu where we went on honeymoon.
Went a little more upmarket than the first time and stayed in a place called Restia Suites Acharavi.
Only went for a week but was faultless so have booked to go again in May for 2 weeks. Cant wait.
Not one for returning to same place but there was lots we didnt manage to do and visit in only a week. Service was also fantastic and think we may have set our standards high for anywhere else.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

Me too Pete, & I was almost decided until I discovered the visa had almost tripled in price
The Nicaragua hol'z gone up since I last checked. I rather fancied that too, but I cannot fly with United again.0 -
I went to China in 2011 and the visa wasn't cheap then.
I'm looking for work at the moment and so have time on my hands to travel but I can't really book anything too far ahead as it'd diminish my chances of finding work. I've also got quite a few theatre trips over the next couple of months and have few weeks with nothing booked so I'm limited somewhat.
I did look at a few days in Vilnius this week and it's very cheap. Then I saw that the high temperature at the moment is around -8c. That explains the cheapness of the trip anyway.0 -

Nicaragua eh? Well, that's certainly different. I don't know anyone who has been there.
I really envy your ability to travel so much. Hopefully I'll get to a stage in my life when I have the money and freedom to do the same.
Berlin in 40 days and I'm still thinking of something for Easter but all of the prices I have seen are silly. I might just take the opportunity to visit some neglected family (free accommodation) and see some different parts of this green and pleasant land.0
