I did look at a few days in Vilnius this week and it's very cheap. Then I saw that the high temperature at the moment is around -8c. That explains the cheapness of the trip anyway.

I'm going to Switzerland in a couple of weeks time for the bobsleigh and the low temperatures unfortunately don't make St Moritz cheap :rotfl: currently between -8c daytime and -20c nightime, though it is due to warm up slightly. Still, from experience, it's going to be chilly all day by the bobrun under the trees

At least it should be slightly cheaper this year than last as the Swiss central bank hasn't (so far) done anything again that ends up bumping CHF up.

Two Firsts, so exciting! How long are you going for?

5 nights, staying in a hotel near a beach. Can't wait!

The difference is that if you're going skiing or shooting down The Cresta Run it's an advantage to have cold weather!

    Have a great time.

Oh I will :D I'm going for the bobsleigh & skeleton world cup races, it's great fun :)

Bonus this year is that the Night Turf is also happening when I'm there so I can just amble down to the night horse racing on the frozen lake after watching the slidey stuff.

Nicaragua eh? Well, that's certainly different. I don't know anyone who has been there.

I really envy your ability to travel so much. Hopefully I'll get to a stage in my life when I have the money and freedom to do the same.

Berlin in 40 days and I'm still thinking of something for Easter but all of the prices I have seen are silly. I might just take the opportunity to visit some neglected family (free accommodation) and see some different parts of this green and pleasant land.

Now I'm going to add Nicaragua on my bucket list too!

Dosh when you reach retirement age like Pete you will be able to travel as much....well thats the theory!

    :j:j to Berlin!

I need HEAT AND MORE HEAT at this time of year but I can see the appeal in going skiing! Have fun and DO NOT break anything!

    Google is my friend!

Well I'm very annoyed with myself.....I should've bought the air tickets in the BA sale for Easter when I first saw them for circa £2300 for all 3 of us in Business class from DUB:mad:, today they had gone up by £2K!!! Someone kick me VERY VERY HARD:mad::mad:! I could've saved that £2k towards something! Soooo annoyed!

So as the sale is still on, and to avoid repeating the above mistake I have now also booked our flights for the 6 weeks "USA - East Coast to West Coast". Sorted! At least those were within budget! :j:beer:

Now the hunt continues for flights to SA for Christmas TAKE 2 (I failed to get decent priced flights last year).

I will now shop around for good hotel deals for Easter and Summer!

The Nicaragua hol'z gone up since I last checked. I rather fancied that too, but I cannot fly with United again.

Duke, I've never flown with any Yank Air, but my teeth were cut with this lot...

The secret is to retire early. I ditched my suits and ties a month before I was 50.:)

After last Novembers shenanigans in Sharm al sheikh we are playing safe this year and am off to the Bodrum peninsular to my favourite place, Gulluk, twice in 2016, May and August- cant wait.
