Nothing exciting planned for Christmas.
Just got back from France 2 weeks ago and thought I'd better get next summer's holiday sorted so have just today booked another gîte holiday for next July.
But we still have SA (October),Dubai (Feb) and Amsterdam (Mar) to enjoy before that. Will soon be turning my attention to next October. I want to do Sharm but will have trouble persuading my OH at this point in time.
Where is your cruise going, Masterpoo?
Sandsy WOW!!!!! Amazing line up you have going there! I tried booking Sharm for Easter but everything seemed overly expensive for Sharm! I've never been but I wasn't prepared to pay over X for a 2 week break in the heat!
Cruise is for 11 Days on RCI (first time on RCI).- Fort Lauderdale
- 2 sea days
- Aruba
- Bonaire
- Grenada
- Barbados
- St Lucia
- Antigua
- 2 Sea days
- Fort Lauderdale
I'm battling to find reasonably priced tickets to SA over Christmas! GrrrrBooked Christmas in Athens to visit my OH's family, but it feels such a long way off and I still have holidays owing...
Christ mas is less than 100 days away which is NOTHING!!! You'll soon be enjoying the sunshine (I assume?!?!?).janiebaby29 wrote: »My holiday starts today !!

It was my first trip as a solo traveller but I really enjoyed it and none of the things that I was a little apprehensive about were a problem so it's definitely given me the confidence to take longer/further solo trips in the future
I can thoroughly recommend Boston as a city break destination, loads to do and easy to get around. The only thing that I didn't like was the heat, or more specifically the humidity, but this could be avoided by not going in August! Definitely on my list of places to go back to sometime( when I've visited some of the 29 remaining states that I haven't been to yet
)
I keep hearing great things about Boston, can't wait to see it next august, I will psych myself up for the humidity!Doshwaster wrote: »21 sleeps until Thailand!
Yes, Boston is a fantastic city, easily my favourite in the US. August wouldn't be my first choice to go (avoid Jan & Feb too where it can be -20C) but it's a very compact, friendly city with loads to do.
Still nothing planned for Xmas/New Year. I usually have a few days on the Med but I'm tempted just to have a quiet time at home then seek some winter sun later when it's cheaper.
Oh Dosh happy days are here again indeedy!!:j What's your itinerary?Going on a cruise in December to the Caribbean! Sun, sea and sand all week long :-)
Who are you cruising with Stace? Which ports will you be doing, have you planned all your excursions?0 -

It didn't really stop me from doing anything except I would have liked to have been able to walk more/further.
A massive lightning storm broke the day I flew home and I understand it was more pleasant afterwards :rolleyes:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

US Road trip next August: Fly to Vegas, Tahoe, SF then prob back to Vegas. I don't think I've ever booked a holiday so much in advance! Only booked the flights so far, will sort out the car next month and hotels probably in the New Year.
I'm excited now, I may have to have a sneaky week away between now and then to calm me down0 -

The good thing about Boston is that when the weather is too hot/wet/cold you are never more than a stone's throw from a bar.0 -

Some islands there that I'd love to visit!! I've only been to St Lucia in that part of the world. Hoping to make a trip to the Caribbean in 2017.0 -
Got back at midnight from my six weeks in Africa. It was a real challenge, and I couldn't do everything I hoped, but I had a great time. The train that finally got in 17 hours late was an experience, but I won't be doing it again! I loved Johannesburg, and went on a brilliant safari in Botswana.
My luggage decided to go on a mini trip without me, so I'm waiting for it to be delivered home.
Time to start planning my next trip..Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Prior to moving to North Cyprus , I was forever travelling to places far and wide (Being in the Travel Industry rather helped ) but now my big trips, are every 2-3 years the UK for a couple of weeks( 16th March already booked) and day trips once a month to Istanbul, Adana or Antalya0
