I am doing the elearning course at the moment, to cut down on all the reading. Just that it feels like I am wasting 2 hours each night on watching videos and doing tests.

And I am only up to section 2 so far ! lol 4 more to go.

Yep, do it! Then report back!
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."

Got back from my amazing week in Croatia 2 days ago and I’m already going out of my mind for another holiday! We’re supposed to be saving now to sell our home (we will lose money compared to what we paid for it) and move into a house... but I can’t help but look at holidays!

It’s both our 30th birthdays next year too so I’ve said no matter what it’s a great excuse for a couple of fab holidays! Hoping to do a California road trip next June and said hubby can decide what he wants for his in March.

I had planned a few weeks in Australia but I've started getting a bit carried away. I'm now thinking of a stopover in Singapore then New Zealand, then Australia, then Hong Kong, then reluctantly back to Blighty. Five or six weeks in total but I may never be able to do this sort of holiday again so why not?

I'm currently awaiting confirmation that a friend can book the time off work before I sort my flights out. He's asked for 4 weeks and won't have an answer for a week or two. BA had this itinarary at £1,250 ish which I thought was pretty darned good.

Flights booked. I leave Heathrow on 9th November and return 19th December. In between I'll be visiting Singapore/Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia & Hong Kong. I enjoy seeing new countries and HK is the only one I've previously visited.

Coundown in MINUS 7 days, as I'M BACK HOME!!!
On a countdown (only 33 days to go!) for:
4 days in Dorset early June, mostly walking the South Dorset Ridgeway, communing with the ancestors. (Loads of ancient sites).

OK, it's not 'Overseas' but I did cross the Severn Estuary to get there! ...

This was an AMAZING few days based in Dorchester; feels like I was away for at least a week!

Tuesday: friends from 40 mins away came over and we went to Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum (really interesting) and Athelhampton House (lovely meal, house and gardens).

Wednesday: I did the Ridgeway walk : 9 miles of it, which is a lot more than I've done for a while, but it was easy walking in perfect weather; intermittent sun and a bit of a breeze. Couldn't have been better. Wonderful scenery; no one around; loads of Bronze Age barrows; loads of poppies; easy buses to Winterbourne Abbas and back from Upwey.
[The 9 miles included a detour as part of the Ridgeway footpath is closed Jan-Jul due to collapsing badger setts!!! ]
Finished off with a trip to the cinema to see the new film of 'Far from the Madding Crowd'; had to see this in Dorset, of course!.
One of the best days of my life!!

Thursday: Explored Dorchester; loads to see: Romans bits, river, Thomas Hardy links; neolithic Maumbury Rings etc, etc. Didn't do the museums as the weather was too good; will save those for a rainy day ...

I'm SOOO happy! This trip has cheered me up for many weeks to come!

Next holiday: staycation for music festivals and visitors to me in Wales.
  • Only a few days in Amsterdam for me next week.

I'm also off to Amsterdam for a few days!

Then off to Tokyo for a week in September. Never been so looking forward to it!

Grr... that sounds like a brilliant trip. I just wish I could get that much time off work in one go.

I'm doing a cheap weekend in Spain in early July and I'm stating to plan 2 weeks in SE Asia for October. Might try to get away for a few days somewhere warm-ish over Christmas or New Year.

In Khao Lak, Thailand right now:)

Been here for 7 days and it's been very hot! It's low/rainy season so we've been lucky with the weather. Took a little turn today though and it's been raining pretty much since 1pm. The temperature is just lovely now though my hair is suffering badly, it's a frizzy mess! Wavy hair & high humidity do not go together.

Next Tuesday I fly down to KL for 5 days with my sister before home to Glasgow. I heard from my mother tonight that summer has finally arrived. I hope it stays.

I've seen a meme floating around about Scottish weather - ' I love summer in Scotland - it's my favourite day of the year' :rotfl:
