I'd like to join the thread. Our house has been up for a sale for month, we had no viewings for the first few weeks, now we have dropped the price we have had one, and another one tomorrow.

There is no upward chain, we already have our bungalow, and it is almost ready to move into :)

    Here's our house,just in case :) :

You house is beautiful I really hope it will be snapped up. TBH I think it looks really good value and god you get a lot for your money.
Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A

Can I join? Just had a chain collapse on the day of exchange, one of the buyers below us pulled out at the last minute. We went back on the market on Friday, had 2 viewings on Saturday, one of which has offered £30k below our OIEO price! We are hoping the people we are buying from will be patient, not prepared to take a £30k hit even though we desperately need a new buyer.

That's such a shame for you Melaniep101. I hope you get sorted.

Our luck seems to have changed, we have now had 2 viewings, one of which is coming back :D

Ours is going up for sale on Friday (well that's when they come to take all the pictures)
Then we have 1 week to sell before we go on holiday LOL
Its all come at a bit of a mad rush as we finally found the ideal bungalow for us which is empty but seller is pushing for a quickish sale (they had rented it out after sale fell through 12 months ago) They have accepted our offer but we now have to sell ours and for close to asking price (Still £30k below where they were in 2008) as the new bungalow needs a LOT of work doing

While waiting for our midday viewer today, the EA rang and asked if another one could come at 11.30! So two viewings today and one tomorrow.

None have translated into offers yet, but our first one was only a week ago, so I suppose it's early days yet.

Our viewer said a bedroom was too small.....we're down to 2 viewers now. One of whom is a 2nd viewing and is tonight. Nothing to full steam ahead but empty steam as no offers just yet.

Hope the viewing went well, and you get a nice big fat offer :)

Update from my EA today saying that I've had a 3rd viewing by one couple with a builder to get idea of costs involved for some interior changes.

Also have another viewing booked in for the weekend.
  • One more viewing booked for Saturday.

The young couple who came today LOVED the house! Hope they can have it :)

Sounding more positive for people - I think things are starting to pick up.

We had the 2nd viewing and they brought parents. They all seemed to love the place so now it's that old waiting game of how long can I stare at my phone before I make it ring!

We have another viewing tomorrow too which is a first viewing - no chain for tomorrow's though. Chain with last night's.

Until we get an offer we're waiting to go back to see a house we love so the sooner we get an offer, the sooner we can get back and see if this house is everything we thought it was :D
