    Good day so far :)
Eye test done, no change so no spends on new glasses but have ordered contact lenses, haven't had them for ages and with the warmer weather I'm starting to miss not being able to wear sunglasses, but I predict that as soon as I collect them we will have a return to the ice age so that I will not be able to wear the sunglasses I'm missing :D

Today I have finally made it to the bottom of my piles and piles of paperwork, I've been slowly sifting through it but I now have finished it completely, everything is filed away where it should be , my zillions of notes on scrappy paper have all been transferred to a nice new HUGE notebook, and I've also sorted out my sketchbooks so that all of my drawings are together (not counting the tub full of scrap paper drawings that I'm trying to ignore :) )
Am reading up on maybe possibly looking into getting an agent, might be helpful for me to get my work into galleries etc that I just don't seem to find the time to do at the moment, there are so many avenues I can't physically get everything done so am looking into it and we shall see if it's a good option to get me a bit more work or not

I've sort of managed to lose three library books, they were returned to the wrong library and have since gone missing in the library :rotfl: but I also forgot to take three more back and now have a fine :(

No more debt payments going out this week and no extra pennies to pay so just sitting tight waiting, and while I'm doing that my brain is having a tennis match with the old idea of shall we move or shall we pay more debt  it's driving me insane, every time we decide what to do, which usually is pay off the debt, I'm fine with that idea for a few days but then I start thinking and discussing it with myself and generally driving myself insane, my main thing is that the kids are getting older and as the debt payments end towards the end of next year that means another year and a bit of them growing up without being in our own home, I know it's not life or death, people have it a lot worse I know, it's just that we've always been settled and at the moment even though we are in a comfortable home, it's not their home with their bedroom and I really want them to have their own room with their things out of boxes and all settled down again, (and selfishly I'd like my own home with my things about me too :) ) I think I'm going to have to have a talk with dh and decide once and for all what it's to be, it's one of two options , either quit complaining pay off all the debt then start looking into moving end 2016 OR pay minimum to debt put all extra money to moving hopefully before end 2015 and then restart the bulk debt payments beginning of 2016 after moving
Ah I don't know  pay debt V save and move
Round and round I go like a blinking teddy bear :rotfl:

  • Good job on the ebay, and sounds like chocolate is just what you need! I don't have any helpful advice but wanted you to know that I am listening.

    Thanks marsbar :)

Small debt payment went out today taking my total down a tad :)
Nearly at the next SB £5 should get it by tomorrow :)

May be closer to a decision on what to do, am thinking about doing a couple more months of debt payments and then focusing on the house, this may be a good middle ground option so going to play with the figures tonight/tomorrow and see if it could work, at the moment I feel like a bad person if I decide not to pay the debt off quicker and I feel like a bad person if I don't get us settled back into our own home
Trouble with me is that I put too much pressure on myself to get everything sorted asap and when it doesn't go to plan or I change my mind I always blame myself

Anyway lots of course work to do today and then I must tackle the pile of ironing which I cannot even call a mountain as it is so much bigger than a mountain, I don't think there are actually any clothes in our wardrobes  see I am a bad person :rotfl:

  • I have a solution to the mountain of clothes and none in the wardrobe....don't iron :p
I've never ironed anything except for job interviews (and if I worked somewhere that you didn't dress casually for work I'd iron work clothes) but you can get away with not ironing lots of stuff ;)

Have a look and see what you think will make you (and your family) HAPPIEST, nothing else really matters... as long as you can make the minimums no matter what you do then all is good :)

I keep forgetting if you are all on 0% or not, but if you are then it really makes very little difference, if not then it's just a question of deciding if the extra interest you'll pay is worth the new house (use the snowball calculator to work it out).

Much love, enjoy the ironing :D

    Thanks marsbar :)
Yes all on 0% luckily so I have the advantage of being able to make a choice that won't affect the balances negatively in that respect

Oh I would so love to ignore the ironing, unfortunately dh has to wear a suit to work, at his previous job he had to wear tracksuits everyday and the tshirts were the type of fabric that doesn't need ironing so it has been quite a shock having all these extra shirts, plus the children all wear shirts to school so at the moment it seems like everything needs ironing, however I have been training the children to use the iron so that one day I may be able to retire from my household duties :rotfl: I don't hold out much hope

Had bad news today, I'm no longer entitled to any grants for the course I'm doing, this means the £830 which is usually covered by my grant now has to be paid by me :( the next part of my course has to be paid by August :( So ive got a dilemma on my hands, am hoping I can delay the course until next feb but got a feeling its only offered in October so this has thrown a spanner in the works somewhat, I've got four more courses to do before I get my degree and giving up is really not an option, need to have a good think about how to work this but no brain power to do it today so will put it away until tomorrow

Tomorrow is another day which brings new ideas and fresh hope :) fingers crossed :D

Hey, I'm sorry to hear about the grant problem, I had the same issue when the intesity of my course dropped from 50% to 25% due to the uni going to only offering one evening module a year (and working full time I couldn't pick up a daytime). TBH being younger, I was lucky in that I was in the position to go to the Bank of Dad and say pleeease pay for my education. I think I've managed to pay it myself once (but, ahem, my debt levels show how good an idea that was!) but we decided that my education was more important, also I'm lucky enough for it to only be £350 a module (roughly) for me as I started before the uni fees hikes came into place.

Honestly, I would say go for it. Find that money somewhere (have you looked into part time student loans?) even if it does mean getting a little bit more in debt, because the education and getting a degree is an investment in your future and will (hopefully) end up paying for itself.

    Much love

Dh has a day off today :T
It's lovely and sunny so plans are quick top up shop at ald1 , dog walk, drive up to "our" mountain, obviously its not ours but we call it that because for some reason we just love it, we see it everyday in the distance and its just magical to look at :) bit of sketching from said mountain, possibly a stroll on the beach if there's time and LOTS of chatting about said house and now course dilemma
Dh will be wishing he'd stayed in work when I tell him what's planned :rotfl:
