  • Had a lovely lazy weekend,
dh had a few too many bottles of wine as it was dads day :)
Lots of reading and film watching done by all, was a shame to get back to normal today :(
And get back to normal we did with a snapped handbrake cable on my car    thank goodness the part I need was only £7 but I'm not sure I'll be able to replace it so I may have a trip to the garage :( on the plus side one lot of brake discs have been done which is one less thing on the cars to do list :D
Got another £5 SB waiting to arrive in my account, eb@y items ready for listing next week, and some of my mystry shops should pay out end of this week which will all go straight to CC2 :)
    I'm happy because,
the house I like is STILL for sale and now the one next door has just come on the market, I don't know which one I like better, and as the houses are so slow to sell around here I'm taking this as a good sign that one of them will still be available when we're ready :D

Beautiful early morning walk with the dogs today, a really lovely summers day here, makes me appreciate everything I have even with my debt :)
Had good news today, dh will have a bonus again this year, don't know exactly how much yet but anything is better than nothing :D it will probably all go towards the house savings but we may put a little towards the debt too
Sinus are playing up today and I have lots of work to get done so stocking up on painkillers later
Can't believe it's almost the end of June already  next year will be here before we know it and I will be closer to the end :D

  • Another busy week nearly over
Managed to get the part for my handbrake fitted myself :D but I still have to take to garage tomorrow morning to have a couple of bits checked out so fingers crossed no nasty surprises, it looks good to me but what do I know I'm just a pretend mechanic :rotfl:
Dare I say it but if everything's ok with my car tomorrow I can put dh old car up for sale, not getting my hopes up but would be nice to go to plan for a change :)
Got to do the bank and bills tonight once home from ds2 sports match, and as usual LOTS of reading still to do :)
Yesterday I made a comparison list for the two houses I like, I am just becoming obsessed with them, and as the debt numbers are going down I'm getting more excited about finally moving, I haven't even been in these houses yet but I've studied the listings so intensely I might as well have been in them :rotfl: so the aim was for me to try and decide which one I think I would prefer, and to work out an estimate of what work we would want to do if we bought one, so the outcome is; I'm no closer to deciding if we are going to move earlier than planned or not, or which one I prefer but the good news they will both cost approx the same to do the work we would want to do, I'm happy anyway, it kept me occupied for a while :D

    It's payday :j
I've done a quick sort of the bank accounts, all payments are ready to go out on their allocated dates, I'm looking forward to making the final payment to CC2 end of next week :D

My car has been to the garage and all is ok
Well, for now at least :rotfl: I'm not getting too excited with these cars, every time I think we're done something else breaks !
So, planning to give dh old car a good spruce up on Sunday, take some pics and put up for sale :D please please please let this happen

Only three weeks left in school before the summer holidays  I always look forward to saving a small fortune on diesel and dinner money in the school holidays, it doesn't always work out but I try :D
We've booked a cheap week camping, we weren't going to go anywhere this year but dh really wants a break from work and the kids love camping so we've booked a lovely peaceful site with a small river the kids can play in and it's surrounded by countryside and mountains I'm actually really looking forward to getting away myself :)
I'm starting to see a little light at the end of this LONG tunnel :)

  • Another weekend gone by in a flash !
Took the children into the city to do some shopping on Saturday, they have their own money saved that they were allowed to spend and it was so nice coming out of their bank account instead of mine :D they also think about the cost of things when they're spending their own money and it's amazing how much they don't actually want something when they have to pay for it themselves :D it was a lovely day though except I wore completely the wrong shoes and ended up having to buy a new pair as my feet were hurting so much, I'm obviously too old for shopping in heels now :(
So brand new week, bank and book of doom just updated, one debt payment went out today bringing my total down a smidge :) CC2 is paid off end of next week not this week as I thought :( at least it's getting paid off, so no feeling glum that it's with me an extra week,
I have eb@y bits waiting to go and a mystery shop to do this week, 1/3 to next SB, have been a bit slow with this lately as had so much reading and coursework to do but I'm back on track now as these little extra payments make quite a difference :)
Didn't get dh old car up for sale yesterday as I was still shattered from the day of shopping (feeling very old :( ) so that's my job this afternoon

Didn't get one of the jobs I applied for :( but still waiting on the other :)

Feeling very positive and ready for more debt tackling this month :D

  • I've gotten slow and lazy on the SB too, so it's not just you hen.

Great to hear you sounding so positive :)

The holiday sounds like a great idea, nice, cheap and fun getaway, I love the freedom camping gives from electronics and not having a mobile on all the time (I take it, but only turn it on in emergencies cuz of the battery) so it can be nice and peaceful and getting back to the roots.

Sigh, I want to go camping now lol
