  • Glad the craft fair went well :)
Hope that you manage to get your bits into shops, slightly random suggestion, but in a little seaside town I frequent a lot of the small cafes/restaurants have artwork by local artists on the walls that are for sale (I have no idea what commision they charge or if it's just a way for them to get free decoration until it sells) so that may be a potential avenue to explore?

Been working on my assignment all day today, also checked bank and balances, updated book of doom and everything's ticking along nicely :)
Got another mystry shop to do so got a little extra to be paid off CC2 before the end of the month :) great thing is I've managed to do these without it interfering with my day so that's a bonus :)

Off now to track down some library books I think I may have returned to the wrong library  be just my luck to get a big fine !

No top up shop today and spaghetti bolognese for tea :D

    Been a busy day,
Had dd sports day, she won all of her races :) very proud mum :D it was her last one before going to the 'big' school so an extra special day :)
An unexpected spendy day as ds1 failed to tell me he was going camping with his school and needed alot of things by tomorrow  boys are so disorganised, so a telling off from me and a very bruised purse :( I'm now very afraid of checking the bank
Then karate so another few pounds given away
Got a few mystry shops done but forgot the receipt for one so am very annoyed with myself, but I have got half of my assignment finished and am aiming to finish it tomorrow morning and then send in, I then have a mountain of library books to read and return so I can make some space in my desk and get some 'real' paid work done :D

  • On the bright side a lot of the camping stuff only needs to be bought once (at least for a few years)
Maybe you could use it to go on a family camping trip? With my sister I have camped in scotland at an entertainment park for £50 for the week including entertainment passes (not including food obvs but we took our own and kept it cheap)
Hope your assignment is going well.

    Thanks marsbar :)
Assignment going ok, didn't get as much done this morning as I'd hoped as I had a visitor so am catching up now but should be done in an hour or two :)
We go camping often ish, I don't love it but the kids do so I put up with it :) so everything I bought ds1 will more than likely get used, I was just annoyed as I hadn't budgeted for the spend and if he'd told me about it sooner I could have, but that's kids for you :D Ds2 did the same thing today as he needed sports equipment but luckily he found what he needed in the reduced aisle and also had a gift card in his wallet so it cost me a lot less than I'd expected :D
No more debt payments made yet as no spare money with all this extra spending

  • Can you run SBTV in the backround while you work on assignment without it annoying you? Passively working your way up to another overpayment.

These things come in ebbs and flows. The important thing is that you haven't had to go into more debt to cover it! :-D

  • Been a busy couple of days again, lately every day seems to be filled with so many things to do, which is good as it stops me dwelling on the frustration that I can't make any overpayments but I would like to get to the end of my to do list at some point before the end of the year

One sort of good thing has happened, I stupidly didn't realise that I've been paying interest one of my CC's at a rate of £100 a month    how on earth did I miss that !!!! I thought every debt I had left was interest free !!!! Anyway no point getting worked up about it so I did a 0% BT :j I didn't want to as I am concerned about applying for credit before we get a mortgage but at the moment we've decided to keep plodding along and not go anywhere near the house I like so we won't be applying for our mortgage for a little while yet :) and :(
So now the £100 a month I've been wasting   will be helping towards the downhill movement of the debt mobile :D :T

Assignment finally got finished, I really don't know how I've done on this one as it wasn't a favourite subject of mine but I know I've made enough on previous assignments to have passed the course already so if I get a bad score it won't be too bad and I still have three left to do which might make up for it :)

This weekend is a free weekend :D I'm looking forward to being very lazy watching films and reading my pile of books,
we've also been invited to a friends birthday next weekend and not sure what to do, we feel obliged to go but it's a bit of a way so will cost on petrol and drinks and I really don't want to spend anymore than we have to after the spendings we've been making lately, so I'm leaving dh to decide that one as it's his friend really :rotfl:

Oh and I applied for 2 jobs yesterday, won't know if I've been successful until next month and I don't think I'm likely to get either but I thought I'd give it a try anyway,
as I tell my children 'if you don't give it a go you'll never know' so I took my advice for a change :D

Food shop later, just made my list and it looks ok, we are out of a few things but hopefully won't be to frightening at the checkout :)

  • Woo hoo to the extra 100 a month! Can't remember if you do the snowball calculator, but if you do have you tried inputting it to see how much time it shaves offyour debt?

A lazy weekend sounds very well deserved to me :)

And I might be wrong, but I though mortgages liked to see people using credit andpaying it off???
