im bagging 5s with Halifax spottybutterfly, it's a neat little perk..

and in fairness, now ive got round to Barclays Premier Rewards, having not had a smartphone for a year or so (i tend to use a phone as a phone--and little else) and have been the past 2 days for free Tea and Hot Chocolate. it's actually a very nice perk--so Barclays continue to get my loyalty:coffee:..and shall look to add Blue Rewards to my account too.

I've just got the joining e-mail as I only just signed up to blue rewards this month. It has a PDF attachment which mentions what sort of income won't count towards eligibility which is:
When working out how much you have paid into the account, we will ignore:

    • Amounts received from other personal Barclays accounts in your name, including any joint accounts or savings accounts. (If money is paid in from a Barclays Business Account, this will count towards your qualifying amount)

    • Amounts paid out from your Rewards Wallet

    • Any interest that we pay you

    • Any refunds you receive from us.

Anyone able to confirm that the DD mandates can be single one-offs or they have to be recurring? I.e. Tesco account DD draws and Paypal DD draws?

They have to be paid each month, otherwise no reward.

and setting two DDs up shouldn't be a big challenge.

    joined just now, very simple.
i hope it isn't a one-way-street though, and we all finish up with account fees with minimal benefit

    I had the email too.
Last month I paid £800 in and transferred out on the same day. I have been told that this was the problem and it has to be there at close of day. I told them it was from an account from another provider as I questioned the funding requirement and they didn't mention it as being a problem. Will see what happens next month.

I moved my funds in and out within a day and it hasn't affected my Blue Rewards payment. There's nowt in their terms that states that the £800 has to be there overnight, so if I were you I'd challenge them on this.

I did get it paid last month but they said I hadn't qualified, as it was my first month they'd pay me anyway. Yes I agree it isn't in their terms and conditions about it being in overnight, time will tell.

In my first month (april) I didn't manage to get the two Direct Debit mandates setup and paid, but they paid the reward in May!
