Great news on the house, Frizzle :j
Sorry you're going to be laid up for a week, lynne :( Hope you mend quickly.

Thanks for all good wishes for my SiL.

I have done everything on my list today except these, which will be carried over to tomorrow:
    - 3 emails
    - wipe the small appliances
    - do some weeding in the back garden
but I'm pleased to say the ironing basket is empty again and the pansies in the front garden give a very cheerful welcome :)

    Also to be done:
    - De-grot the loo/bath/shower/sink etc
    - Wash the windows
    - Change towels
    - Empty and clean out the bins
    - write a cheque
    - drink coffee with an old friend
    - go to U3A Family History group
    - get cash for choir subs
    - visit my poorly friend

Hoping to get off to an early start tomorrow!

Morning everyone. Glad it's the last day for the workmen today. Once they are done I can get cracking on the kitchen. When they finished yesterday I gave the kitchen floor a quick sweep and wash.

DD came for lunch and was pleased with the present I gave her. I discovered adult colouring books when out the other day. She is always colouring in with the kids. Finds it therapeutic. So now she has her own. Lol. .

Want to give my living room a bit of a revamp. So need to have a think how I want it.

Hope the poorlies get better soon. Congrats where needed. Welcomes and hugs too.

    Morning everyone

Lynne ouch - hope you are on the mend soon.

    Congratulations Narco.

CPP I agree that setting a set amount of time aside for each room is a good approach if you are pushed for time. Prioritise too, have a walk around before you start and decide where the worst bits are. If the kitchen and bathroom are sparkly then you can be forgiven for a bit of clutter in the living room and bedroom.

Yesterday I worked on job no. 1, went to the hairdressers, came home and walked the dog, made tea, took DS to cricket practice, came home again, swished the bathroom and washed the floor, quickly hoovered upstairs and did the stairs, hoovered and washed the kitchen and utility floors and swished the cupboard doors and worktops.

I have made a cake and some buns for OHs pack up this morning. Will be a bit late home from work so will catch up later.

Have a good Wednesday everyone x

Morning flyers. Not had a chance to read properly so hope everyone is ok. Well done on jobs, babies etc.

Back to normal for me today. I would have been doing ironing today but as I was at the office yesterday, no washing got done, doh.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Ionafan Lovely to hear positive news about Anna. Well done on the half pound off. I am in same boat as you - could do to try and lose another half stone but am sts so well at this weight I might just leave it for now and try just before my hols.

Lynne - glad you went to A n E and had it checked out - hope it heals quickly. Do you use arnica cream for bruising?

OMG Piggers:eek: I hope it was confined to the derelict building, and no lives were endangered.

Lynne Ouchy - time for catching up on those books you've always wanted to read, perhaps?

I have to make a cake this afternoon, I don't want to, and I can't decide what sort to make.
*sigh* I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.... :rotfl:

Great picture, pigpen - must have been scary to watch, though.

Glad there are no bones broken at least, Lynne. Make the most of your enforced rest, and get well soon!

Well, I've just completed my first Flylady crisis cleaning 'rotation' - I'm parched, weary and sweaty, want nothing more than to jump into the shower, and feel like I've achieved... very little, actually. :( Hopefully things will look better after the next time round!
Back after a very long break!
