dancemum - hope you soon get some help re your son

The Links Market has arrived on the seafront and opened today. It began in 1304 and I think was originally a weekly farmer's market. In 1305 the king granted a charter to hold a yearly Spring fair, which would have included entertainment/s as well. It has grown to be a full-blown fair, the first of the year and highlights all the new rides. There are videos on U-tube if interested.

They tend to move some of the 'rides' each year and this year we have Waltzer, kiddies roundabout, Jumping Frog, Giant Wheel and Mouse ride in view of our balcony. Just a shame not warm enough to sit outside today but fingers xd for the week-end.

I now have just three small folders of paper-work left to sort into chuck/shred/file. Then have been through everything and can start on the re-filing of all the piles of stuff which have to keep such as financial.

Hope you all have a great Thursday and (hugs), stick and spoons a-plenty if you need some, gw vibes to anyone poorly

Morning all - where is everyone?

We are already flying at 90 mph towards London, to go and visit DH's sister in hospital. No change in her condition, as far as we know.

I even made a cooked breakfast, put gammon in the SC for tea, washed up and made the bed before we left home :) now DH has brought coffee and a bacon roll to share to our table. I could get used to this!

Catch up later... Hope everyone has a good day, especially dancemum and Mrs-mp xx. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round.

Morning Ladies (and gents?) To be honest haven't done much over the last few days, just daily stuff, but thought I'd come to share my news.
Right I had a visit from a lady from my housing association yesterday. The next door neighbours, that I'm joined to who are also housing association where evicted yesterday lunchtime
I know there was a problem via rent because the mother of my neighbour told me but I'm surprised it happened and I never heard anything! Seems they are coming back for stuff from the house.
Don't get me wrong I do feel sorry for them but to be honest they haven't been that great of neighbours. Now I can start worrying what I'll get next :( at least I won't have their dogs in my garden doing their business now :)
I asked if I'd get a new fence now (neighbours put it up, (made the original stick fence fall down) so h.a won't touch it) the lady said not her department  but to me it's 99% sure they have to do something about it.
DD1 and I spent yesterday evening going over our money/budget trying to work out how to clear my rent arrears (I'm in serious trouble) or it'll be happening to us next _pale_

Still lots of jobs to do but I'm going to the cinema with my bestfriend this morning. Haven't see much of her lately, my fault, a bit down so been staying at home.

I've had a bit of a reprieve; after going to Ald1 at 8pm had rushed around doing last-minute superficial flying late last night (i.e. putting clutter into neat piles) due to the imminent arrival of my mum. Got up early and cake made, due to go to uni at 10am. 9.30 my student contacted me; she is ill and won't be going in. So I have an extra few hours to re-fly. My mum's bus drops her at the uni just before 3pm, so I need to make good use of the next 4hrs. Plan:
    ice cake
    vacuum downstairs
retrieve bin from front of house after collection
    empty kitchen compost
put plants outside greenhouse for hardening off
wipe over anything in kitchen which needs it after icing
    put dw on
do flower arrangement for mum's room and lounge
check meal plan for next (manic) 4 days and see what needs to come out of the freezer when

    Then reassess the situation!
    Happy flying everyone.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Morning all

Serious lack of GUAG here today, probably due to eating no chocolate yesterday! Oh and the sun has disappeared.

Woody has had a wood pigeon this morning and in retaliation for me not letting him bring it in (he was scaring the daylights out of the kittens wacking it again the catflap) he dismantled in outside the back door, I've cleared that up.

WM1 on and yesterday's laundry put away.

    Plan:
    Dry my hair
    pay some bills
get my CV done (having second thoughts now about applying)
Take DS3 to buy a cricket jumper
Take stuff to the scrap store
    quick clean of the bathroom
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
