Congratulations mrs-mp :T
Well done dancemum's DS2
Welcome CCP - don't panic!
JTTOU, I have lost the half pound I put on last weekWish I could lose another 7 lb but my body doesn't seem to want it. I did stay at group today so I have not done as much off my list as I would have done in those two hours at home, but never mind. It's been a very good afternoon at my vol job, and I will do some catching up this evening while DH is at model railway club.
Bad news today about DH's sister who has been admitted to hospital with a blockage of the colon. We shall be going to visit on Thursday (or tomorrow if it becomes an emergency).
Better news though about premature baby Anna for whom some of you have been sending up prayers and GWS vibes. At the weekend she was moved out of intensive care to the next level of care down, because she has made such good progress. Her father says that the doctors are very optimistic about her future. Thank you all :T :T :T :T0 -
Fingers crossed, Chr0me seems to be working at slightly more than a snail's pace today.:oGood to see you LW
Show the Netbook a large hammer and threaten to hit it (but don't actually do so!) - it might take fright and start behaving.
***SNIP***
spent ages last night looking for a missing form. I eventually found it this morning under the lid of the scanner
Re the "lost" document - I've done that before, several times. The scanner is now one of the first places I check.:oLW - gw vibes for your wrist and your IT stuff
It was a solid concrete step outside that I fell down and hurt my foot. I'm just using DH's drum stool to sit on so I can do some low-level 'flying' without having to use foot iyswim
I'm thinking the same - about being 55 years young and the weather :rotfl:
Thanks - I need shooting I think, as I fell over the back door step yesterday; I'm sure Jessie thought I was playing some new sort of game.
We're doing well between us, aren't we?:rotfl: Hope your foot is a bit better by now.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
so tired...it's tiring this work lark after 2 weeks off, LOL
but tonight I must swap mattresses with DD (who lives over the other side of town)
Clear all the clutter ready for the new bed arriving tomorrow

That sounds like good news - both the job and limiting flying!! Well done.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Sounds good Dusty, you never know what will turn up.
Welcome CCP
Get well vibes for Ionafan's relative.
Pleased to report my email now working ok and nothing too dramatic missed or overdue. Registration confirmed for the new work tender, but the offer isn't on the web site yet so I guess I just keep checking.
Minimal flying today other than 1 load washing done and dry, but 2hrs uni work and a few hours in the garden. Getting to countdown time till my mum arrives so better do some houseflying!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Many thanks for the welcome, everyone, and many congrats on the job mrs-moneypenny. :T:T:T
Feeling quite pleased with myself tonight: I've thrown out two lots of recycling, two big polystyrene boxes that I've been keeping 'in case I need them' (), put a batch of towels that had been sitting in the bath on to wash, put a new air freshener in the bathroom and thrown away the packaging, and bagged up a batch of junk mail to go in the recycling bin tomorrow morning. I would have done more except I was waiting for a workman from the letting agents to arrive to see about the mould - he's now 3 hours late with no word, so I guess he isn't coming.
I've booked tomorrow afternoon off work to do a proper Flylady crisis clean - batches of 15 minutes in each room interspersed with breaks - I must just remember not to keep popping on to the forum during said breaks, as they might end up longer than planned!Back after a very long break!0 -

Evening everyone :hello:
Iona - gw vibes for DH's sister and great news about Anna
Mrs MP - brilliant news and I'm really thrilled for you :T
CPP - good luck and hope it all comes together for you
Frizzle - what excitement !! Hope all goes well with the packing and moving
Well I was pulled and pushed - not quite screaming - to the A & E this afternoon. I was there for THREE AND A HALF HOURS  Three x-rays later (tibia, fibula and ankle) and I came back with some strong painkillers and some anti-inflammatory pills.
There's nothing broken but lots of other damage, which has caused some circulation problems and hence the very swollen and painful leg as well as foot. Now confined to bed or settee with foot raised, cold packs three times daily and only allowed to walk to loo or kitchen for five minutes if absolutely necessary for at least the rest of the week
So absolutely no flying anywhere for a time - just internet, paperwork or reading. I'll still be lurking and will be back as and when.
Hope you all have a good week and (hugs), sticks and spoons to all who need some
