  • Bought dds two pinafore dresses £11.

Popped into grocery section, lethal, £12 spent.

Washing tablets on offer £2.50 for 20 washes.
Cans of 7 up £2 for 8. The 24 packs of branded coke all varieties were better value at £6 but would be tempted to drink them, so for health avoided.
    Cheese 2 for £3.
I've swapped my treat honey roasted salmon flakes for kiln roastr triut flakes as the salmon is now £2.99 for 120g, trout was £2 for same weight. Trout OK but preferred salmon.
Lots of yellow stickered stuff garlic flat bread 5p, donuts 3Op, cream buns 30p, cheese cake 40p, lemon pancakes 5p, chocolate pancakes 5p, cheese and onion pie 5p, carrot and pumpkin boule 5p.

I've got guests tomorrow and I've made a lasagne so 5p flatbread and 40p cheesecake, its a premium range one, will complete the meal.

The rest of the stickered stuff I'll freeze.

Excellent haul on the YS goodies :T

Ahh school uniform, DS needs new trousers, shirts, shoes, trainers and rugby gumshield. A necessary evil isn't it.

Have you tried soap nuts for washing - can't remember how much per wash it works out something like 7p - I'm a recent convert and everything comes up clean but doesn't have that fresh smell to it...it smells of..nothing really :rotfl: so still do the bedding with normal laundry liquid or tabs.

I've decided to do something about my weight, been overweight since I had dd2 five years ago.

Largely my problem is I'm not huge, a solid size 14, occasionally a 16, I wear size 12 dresses. So I get it into my head I'm OK, fairly average. Anyhow I've put on a stone since Christmas and I'd like it to go.

Starting weight 11 stone, goal 9 stone. Nhs website suggests I need to weigh between 8 stone 5 and 10 stone 6.

As I can't afford a fitbit I'm using my fitness pal. Very motivating, it told me today if everyday was like today I'd weigh 10st 5 in five weeks. I'm motivated.

Good luck with your weight goal. It's great having all these apps there are to use now, not that I've downloaded or used one. Bit behind the times I think!

    Final school uniform bits £15.80
    Cleaning stuff £10.

Didn't go well with mortgage advisor he made enquiries with five lenders and no one would lend to me. I'm going to chase him up tomorrow.

Could use my btl emergency fund to op mortgage to £52,000 but that really is all I've got.

Was hoping for positive news, is he speaking to more lenders in the meantime? Keeping fingers crossed.

If the difference to getting it is the £3k sounds like it would make it worth it? :)

Agree with Ali that if the 3k would make a difference.
Did broker say on what grounds they are declining?

I'm dubious as to whether 3k will make a difference, was just something I was thinking of suggestions.

I'm failing due to affordability, due to my dependants but mostly because of the £1120 a month I spend on childcare.
