I'd love to say, I stayed in waiting for broker to get back to me, I phoned him eight times this morning.
However, I took the girls to bolton Abbey with a friend instead. Great day - £8 entrance for a car, spent £6.40 on picnic stuff. Weather was 25, so had to make the most if it.
In other money saving news spent this morning taking garden waste to tip after my dad kindly chopped down trees overhanging into my garden. Can see out of dd3s window now. £450 saved.
Whilst I was tidying cleared out my shed, it now contains wooden table and chairs, kids table and chairs, two bikes and two scooters and a lawn mower. I don't do clutter:rotfl:HOME

Ooh sounds like you've had a fab day!
Dad's are great at helping out aren't they. Your shed sounds great - I think I need your organisational skills to help me with my decluttering.

Thanks for stopping by, I literally just fling, fling, fling to the charity shop. I can't handle clutter at all.
I've been stuck with a shared office all year, well OK it's my office in my classroom but when the previous teacher moved classrooms she left about fifteen years worth of stuff in it. You could barely open the door. I didn't dare move anything all year, you know how teachers can be about their resources. Anyhow she left at the end of term so I spent two days solid shredding everything.
Flipside I can use my office next year, I found loads if useful stuff that was hidden under so much mess.
At home,
I'm punching well above my weight in my house, I'd never in a million years be able to afford to live on an estate like this, if my parents hadn't got an auction bargain. However there's five of us in a three bed, and the lodger has their own room, so for sanitys sake it has to be neat.HOME

Haven't read this completely but from what I have read I'm somewhat confused. However, good luck with everything.
On another note, I'm considering doing a PGCE in September 2017. Sorry to be nosy but is just under £1,400 all you get paid for a full time (5 days per week position)?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5001 -
Yeah I get £1380 after tax and other deductions, pension, student loan etc.
I'm at the bottom of the payspine m1, it's £22,023 a year before tax.
My other income is a lodger and a buy to let property.
I did a pgce qualified in 2014 and have just finished my nqt year. I worked as a researcher for a uni, teaching on some modules, before embarking on early years teaching. Also had a stint in a supermarket from 2011 when I took a step back to look after my kids.HOME

I think that's a rather shocking wage for a job which requires all staff to be qualified to a postgraduate level. I hadn't looked into pay and thought I could maybe do 2/3 days per week school teaching and still run my business / music teaching. However, whilst money isn't really an issue, I think £1380 per month is something of an insult. Admittedly, I'd have no student loan or pension to pay but still, that's really quite opened my eyes and not in a good way.2018 totals:

I was trying to share a link but the Atl wouldn't let me, it just uploaded onto my Facebook feed duh.
However if you Google teacher pay spine it comes up. In fairness it goes up m1-m6 is £22,023 - £32,023.
Then upper pay spine Up1-up3 is £34,000 - £39,000 approx.
Leadership is approx £39,000 to £107,000 although in my experience very few earn above £50,000 at primary level with the exception of head teachers.
I earnt a lot more as a researcher at a uni but I prefer my teaching job. I don't intend to do it forever, I'd like to go back to lecturing / researching, but I do love early years.HOME

I wish i had them declutter results. As much as i try and as much as i shift, we still have clutter in abundance!! It's all the kids stuff and Mrs SJ's parents visit all the charity and one way or another it eventually ends up in our house! :mad:MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......1 -

Our house is terrible. I dread the thought of ever having to sort it out when / if we move. However, I've not the inclination to declutter and I think Mrs K has given up asking me to put my 'toys' away. :rotfl:2018 totals:
