Went OK with lodger, they don't intend to stay much longer, they work quite long hours so havent git round to viewing anywhere. Akso they have decuded to buy not rent so uts taking longer to find somewhere.
In the meantine they are going to try and be a bit tidier. I think it's only natural, when somewhere feels more like home, you must become a bit slobbish.
In other news broker called this morning to say he's found a lender, just needs to clarify my income stacks with them but should be a goer. I should find out tomorrow please keep everything crossed:)HOME

Hi wicksterwoo:hello:
Thanks for stopping by, new posters always welcome, I need all the tips I can get.
I also love logging on to see messages so thank you all who have posted.
I am trying at the moment, but I've been on the board since 2010 and at times I've let it slip, the biggest advice I can give is its a marathon not a sprint.
I used to be really envious when I read about posters smashing £100,000 off in a couple of years, but everyone is different, it won't happen for me because it'd take me five years to earn it:rotfl: but everyone has different targets, lives, jobs, circumstances. Overpaying even a small amount makes such a difference with compound interest.HOME

So today
[Free food, leftovers at lunch used for tea - corn on the cob. At every meal I have started offering leftovers to the other dds. Saves them asking for snacks later.
Wombling - had a look out for discarded receipts in asda car park. Unsuccessful, but did find 20p on the floor.
Walked to swimming avoiding the use of the car.
Opted to make my own cakes, free entertainment for dds, cheaper than shop bought.
Spent am at ilkley park - free.
Being frugal with water paying off as had an amended Dd £33 a month, down from £43.
Not so great
Food shop £60- must investigate the nearest lidl, although very happy with aldi, I trust the msers.
Petrol - filled tank £40.
Day out at ilkley park and Yorkshire dales ice cream farm - caved and bought ice creams, £12.HOME

You are doing really well. Don't beat yourself up over a few ice creams - the children will remember little treats and will appreciate them all the more for being rare.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D1 -
Thanks for the well wishes, no news unfortunately as couldn't get hold of the broker. Will try again tomorrow.
The older girls went out with their grandparents, dd3 apparently gets in the way, so had a lovely day watching the rain.
No spend day:jHOME
