Went to put washing on there was already a load on, of two items:eek:

Fridge full of fizzy drinks, which kids tried to get their hands on.

Awoken by lodger coming in at 2 am.

Onwards and upwards, no spend day planned as going to my job in the supermarket.

It must be hard i did lodge myself years ago 11 to be eact when i was 17 with a family in a small farm house and i felt right out of my comfort zone

and always felt i couldnt go out and come back to late as i didnt want to upset anyone so i dint last month 2 months or so

hopefully its worth it for you your not to far off with the mortgage now 55k left :]

Really pleased chatted to a friend at work and have some fun, cheap days out planned for next week.

Left my purse at home when I went to work to avoid spending. Gutted as they were selling off delu, rotisserie items for 5p, avocados 5 p, and lots of other bargains.

I'm thinking once back at work I'm going to aim for 5 days no spend every week. Shouldn't be too hard as I take my lunch from home as there's no time to leave school to buy lunch and I'm not organised enough to order a school meak:rotfl:

So to do tomorrow

Op - have decided the emergency fund is going at the mortgage
Phone broker to see if they have had any luck with finding someone to take me on.
Chat to lodger about general housekeeping, I keep finding crisp packets in bathroom.

I have term time only childcare, so I've got around £1120 surplus this month, so I'm keeping that to cover any broker fees. Thank you though, its definitely something I've considered.

As for lodger, I think as it initially started short term, their landlord was selling, neither had the expectation it would go on this long - three months and counting.

As lodger has become more settled they are letting behaviour slip. Whereas I'm much less tolerant. At first it was OK, I was thinking, oh well they'll be gone soon. Now I'm like, DO NOT put a load of washing on with two items, DO NOT play music at six am, DO NOT overfill the bins so I can't take them out without the bag splitting:mad::mad::mad:

No I agree, sounds like your lodger is being a bit inconsiderate, I wouldn't complain if a child was coughing, they are not doing it on purpose are they!

Do you have an idea of when they might leave?

You have inspired me to stop lurking and post a reply! Wow! Just wow! You are doing so well, with 3 little ones and 2 jobs. I know you will be modest but you are doing an awesome job in a very tricky situation.

Bad enough lodger leaving the packets, but don't crisps go soggy if you eat them in the shower?:D
