How about joining the 'Crazy Clothes Challenge' over on the DFW challenges board - I had a target of £120 last year for DS and I and came within it - allows for clothing cost neutral too with using vouchers earnt or eb@y sales etc.
It's the shoes for DS that cripple my budget - he's adult size now and still growing so Clarks it is...@ £70 a pair . Luckily got him a pair half price in the sale last summer so £35, much betterand they lasted well as he's not cursed by lunchtime football
Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

Well done on your clothes bargains! :T:T:T How frustrating of your ex to tempt the children with a takeaway and then not order one, well done on being a step ahead and ignoring him.

I've decided to try and spend no more than £200 on clothes between now and Christmas. DDS uniform last year cost £195 so will have to be pretty frugal. It's the shoes that do it.
Spendy day. £20
Dd2 was invited to a soft play party but had to pay entrance for the other two, £8. Needed some wrapping paper £1.
After the party we spontaneously went to roundhay park, had vouchers for the land train, half price but still cost £4.50. On our way back to the car, parked about a mile away from park, to get a space, save on fees. Due to going out spontaneously bought girls lunch.
Stopped in at our local shop on way home. Got three huge bags of shopping for £4.40. Everything was 20p, 30p. Meatballs, Miller yoghurts, Covent garden soup, mince, petit filous, cheese, cherry bakewells, mini battenburgs, bread, biscuits, even Tetley tea bags.
Star buy of the day was the 72 packs of fairy dishwasher tablets for 5p, restricted to three per customer but stocked up at that price.
Invited for a drink in a pub this evening, girls and I had a lovely time. I bought a lemonade girls had water. £2.40HOME

Thanks, I don't think he does it deliberately just thinks aloud.
I'm actually pretty impressed he found the minimum order too high and avoided buying it. Anyone who can remember my struggles with him and debt before will know he's come a long way.HOME
